Gino DiPietro was gunned down in Philadelphia in 2012. The authorities believe it was a mob hit and one of the men who participated was a reputed Mafia soldier named Anthony Nicodemo. It was also one of the dumbest and most poorly planned Mafia hits of all time.

Hey Jeff, something that's never been written about or mentioned in any of Henry Hill's books or the film "Goodfellas" are the three hits Henry Hill claimed were contracted out to him on the orders of Paul Vario, in one of Henry's last interviews on the Howard Stern show. Nicodemo has to feel like a tool doing that much time while Merlino is on RU-vid. If he’s smart enough he should call up the FBI and try to salvage what’s left of his life. I don’t understand how anyone stays loyal when the “boss” is on RU-vid making a mockery of the ideals you took life to uphold.
