Mark Reiter was an on record associate of the Gambino Crime Family. He was a large scale narcotics dealer aligned with Gene Gotti and other members of the Gotti crew. He was supply for some of the biggest movers of narcotics in NYC. Here's his wild and fascinating story.

Mark Reiter was the one that put the hit out on Nicky Barnes' mistress Shamecca Ash. She arrested and he thought she was going to flip on him. Reiter also had Shamecca's brother and his bodyguard

Great show Jeff! A name that I have heard about the place, but didn’t know anything about. Now I do! And it’s interesting! I can’t imagine the pressure guys like this must feel as the world closes in around them before they get arrested and go away forever. I’ve recently been through some heavy shit where I lost a lot of money, and when it hit, I felt like everything was closing in on me and there was no way out. And it was only a fraction of what was coming, and what he KNEW was coming, for Reiter as the law circled him…

Nice work! The first time I heard of Mr. Reiter was on some series titled "I Married a Mobster." I believe he was just one of the minor characters mentioned but he came across as interesting to me. This is because he didn't seem to fit the stereotype of someone who would be involved in all the nefarious things he was allegedly involved with.
