Andy, you have to be the coolest farmer! You don’t get mad or sweat the small stuff. You always find the good in getting stuck in the mud and laugh. You are a true gentleman. And your kids love you too. Lol!!!
Do you know why Andy doesn't get mad when someone breaks something cuz he probably did the same thing when he was a kid or he classifies it as a quick fix in his book.
Hey Andy I would say that w900 is a beast off road truck. I work logging and logging is hard on trucks. Now we know why you guys have rears going out. Jarred would make a hell of a log truck driver lol.
The difference between a highway princess and a rut wrangler. Nice driving Jared.👌 Smart idea staying hooked up all the way around, especially with all the fishtailing. Looked like a wild ride for Jared. The bull rider only goes 8 seconds.🤙
We use a piece of gear during beet harvest that you might be interested in, it's called the safe-t-pull. Basically a ring mounted to the frame of the truck and a hydraulically operated boom that hooks to the draw bar of the tractor. Can hook and pull without getting out of the seat and no snapped chains or ropes
Thank's again for making all this interesting content for us, Andy! How about a kitchentable LIVE video again ? Would be just great if you would consider a Q&A live video again...maybe also with your amazing kids present?
Jared does a fantastic job driving Andy. That was some greasy stuff lol. Great positive attitude by all, hats off to you and the crew True gentleman and American Andy, neighbor in need, and you're right on it. World would be in much better shape if there were more folks like you, the family, and the crew. Super job sir!!
Crazy day on the farm. Jared with the W900 having to drive it like he stole it, Nates desire to play in the mud and helping your neighbor. It’s awesome that you stop right away to help them.
Great job helping the neighbor out Andy. And I noticed u wouldn’t accept any money from him. The world needs more people like u that just do the right thing without expecting anything in return. Great job!!
Kw should give you guys a truck for some type of durability testing? Love your videos and you guys sure get alot done, what ever happened to rain days and getting to the bar!
Gotta appreciate bosses or people who don’t yell when things go wrong. There’s no need, sure guys get frustrated but don’t take it out on someone and solve the problem, reflect on what happened and make sure to not let it happen again.
I think truck companies should bring out trucks for Jared to drive and test and put there money where there mouth is however you say it We'll see who has a good truck. There should be a difference between hwy and farm use trucks !
Enjoy your videos as always. The w900 sounds strong. Field must be a little muddy, leaving ruts. Hope everything going as planned, but you had a little setback. Catchya at the next one. Be safe!!
Jered was really getting everything that W900 had to give to make it up that hill. It really shows how much wear and tear there is on a farm and field truck in comparison to a highway truck.
If you’re in IL, they will give you a ticket for putting mud on the road. My father in law’s cousin had the state police there follow his tractor tracks from his field to his house and they gave him a road debris ticket.
At this point mise well hook a wagon to the chopper lol. Crazy how wet you guys chop in, the corn is still super green. Its cool you can make it happen.
Everyone is doing what they can to get the crops up in these conditions Andy. Your team works well together. I’ve got third cut of hay still waiting to be cut in western Virginia, we can’t get in field due to rain. We’re all screwed on the east coast.
This video is the absolute best Andy, I was expecting the truck was going to slide into you😎 Always a full schedule on you videos.I will be rewatching this🤣🤣🤣
You must be the local hero, you seem to be helping everyone in the area. Good on you, you must of had a lot of rain ground looks very wet,it will be heading over here to the uk next great video thanks andy
I'm impressed how well the chopper floats, it seems very well balanced. Be careful throughout harvest, many opportunities for accidents. It's best to assume those power lines are hot, even if they no longer feed anything. Hoping for drier weather for you!
When in doubt throttle out, jared deff can drive anything an very well at that, that chopper is a beast for pulling a loaded semi out an still chopping at the same time.
Great stuff Andy. It was really interesting seeing how you use the carts when it's wet. When the neighbor started heading out, I thought, "oh no! he's heading right for the bad spot!" Sure enough...woooppp, stuck.
I recognize the drama when it is wet with chopping .... misery! Here we will start chopping corn next week, but everything will probably have to be done with tracks under the chopper and self-propelled manure injectors with high-lifting silage boxes on them. good luck to you guys chopping up the rest of the corn! and wish you dry and sunny weather! greetings from the Netherlands
That last part , about the dirt on the road , that´s a big nono in many countries . I got into a lot of trouble in Holland after demoing a potato harvester . Even before the client had the time to clean up the fire department was already there . The trouble came when I asked if they were so money hungry that they arrived there so fast. Goddamn that was a bucket of bullshit .
The beast almost needs a drive axle for the steering, might help get through those soft spots, then again, could bury the truck faster. I will say, y'all got the right attitude, no point in getting upset over it, just deal with it, and get 'er done. Having a neighbor with a rollback can come in handy in the future, one never knows and those are very useful trucks.
That was a Real Deal Harvest Video there kids and friends and neighbors!!!! Mud the Great Equalizer throw in some manure and then its a party. Awesome Job Guys and Gals... Great Video
Maybe it's time to hit a military auction . Maybe a Oshkosh six by six tractor or straight truck. Grew up in Florida with them especially concrete trucks they are unstoppable lmao. Have fun in the mud Andy.👍👍
dealing with that much mud kills production and drives the cost way up. the potential for not getting the crop in is unacceptable. we had to leave a little under an acre one year the potential for catastrophic damage was too high.
AT THE START OFF THE VIDEO COULD YOU HAVE HOOKED ON TO THE TRUCK WITH THE COMBINE AND STAYED TOGATHER OUT OT THE MUD. JUST A THOUGHT. ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO ANDY.
Thanks for the ride along in the chopper I enjoyed the view and I really like to hear the kenworth W900 it's bad to the livin bone maaan and I'll catch ya on the next one.
I had my father bring me a tractor trailer to load shelling corn Thursday, said its dry, drive right in the field I told him. He said nope you drive it in. I did and got it stuck. I had to pull it to a " dry spot" to load it and then I had to pull it twice to get it onto the road. Pulling with a combine is a bear too, can't see good. Jared needs an oilfield KW.
I no longer farm but I had to dig a 3 foot hole to day. The first foot the ground was just mud. After that it was wet dirt. I went to eat lunch and when I came back out the hole had 6 inches of water in it. I found a new channel to me. They are going to dig up sugar beets. They had a bar on the digger and it hooks up to the truck without anyone getting out. You might want to check it out.
the guy ask you to do him a favor and stands around and watches you do all the work , he should of been out hooking and unhooking the chain but i guess if you let him do it you would be there all day. I was waiting for his load to fall off lol
Wow that chopper has some ass. Pulling a stuck semi through the mud and still chopping corn and throwing it like 80 feet. Impressive. No wonder Sarah likes running it, that's some machine. A friend for good in that roll back guy. You could tell he ain't from the country though when he took off across the rows. Never hurts to have a friend with a roll back. Best regards from indiana.
I really wish we had enough rain to get stuck in the mud.........here in SD it is very dry. (even after a rain, lol) We had .40 last nite, just barely settled the dust.......no BS.
Another great video Andy. We fought with some wet fields this year too had to use dump wagons, not as bad as 2018 though. Most of the big farms still going at it around here fighting mud also. seems like every week we are getting some rain, been like that all summer tough making hay but we sure had some nice corn and haylege. Hoping to chop off the last of our grass this coming week.
I'm sure you already have heard of them, but freightliner makes a 4x4 chassis called the sprinter if I remember correctly. Don't know if that would be something that would help in the mud or not for you. Love your vids keep them coming.
Well a little off subject here, I know you hate too see those ruts as much as I do. Any reason y’all don’t do a little more no-till ? I know you apply a lot of liquid manure. Great video, love the patience with helping others.
