It's a tax write off for these big companies. To throw stuff away. They don't care they rather throw it away than help. The kids or anybody else? It's a good thing that you're out there, so you can do it for them. Thank you for your video.

That's not how tax write offs work. It's amazing how many people pretend to know stuff they don't actually know.

It’s unfortunate that the tax laws have changed, I use to donate to Goodwill, logging all the donations and keeping the receipts, turning them in every year! Now, I think an individual needs $10,000, before it counts. I’m not sure, I just know it too much for me, a company would be lots more!

You do not get tax write-offs for throwing things away. When you buy a new equipment for a company, you can only write off 20% of it. It must be depreciated over a 5-year period. The maintenance cost of repairing an old piece of equipment can be wrote off 100%. Basically you have no idea what you're talking about and what you said is definitely not the law, and is definitely not how right offs work. Most of that equipment being thrown away was made 30 years ago or 20 years ago or even 10 years ago. The point is there's probably not parts available anymore to repair it or it is just economically feasible to get a new one which may offer more features. However the write-offs are much lower.

Shipping is expensive too. If it's not worth the cost of shipping, it's more financially beneficial to toss it.
