I so agree that the spray painting is just ridiculous! Homeless shelters, women's shelters, even Goodwill, which is a charity!, could benefit from all the bedding they throw away! I hope there are multiple Steph's around the country doing the same thing she is!

GOODWILL is a for profit organization and the guy that owns the ft. Worth tx office lives in a $40 million dollar house. Religious organization do not recognize them.

A long time ago, I thought Goodwill repaired used stuff for resale, but probably not anymore. S&S could create a start-up subsidiary (with videos) of the restoring and reconditioning many of the slightly damaged finds. I suspect they are doing it themselves, and some of it would be interesting to see the before and after, then the final home for the items.

I got a few of those and cleaned them well, then used them for my oldest grandson’s Hot Wheels and other small toys. I also have one, that after cleaning it, I put in cat food, so it keeps it from spilling on the floor.

Those cat litter containers can be used for bird seed, and some people use them for their chickens. I store stuff in them too.

My husband would've made good use of those buckets, he's an RV tech & recycles the air conditioners that come off them. He ends up with brass, copper wire, copper tubing, motors & more! Will make $100's off 6-8 of them!

I would grab those quilts that are marked up, if you can’t get the paint off, I would cut them down and sew the edge on them. Making pet beds for the animal shelter.

I use the cat litter containers to store dog food in. (After washing them out of course) They seal tightly and work perfectly.

Canes are left behind because once set down they seem to disappear. My grandmother would loose hers all the time. I put strips of orange flame duck tape on it. It was never lost again and all the old folks were jealous. Canes can also be donated to any community senior center.

You can donate the sprayed bedding to the animal shelters after you wash them. Those babies don't care what it looks as long as they are warm and comfortable

Those cat litter pails can have lots of uses. I recently saw an article about using them to make feral cat winter shelters. They turn them on their side and fill will straw or old material for warmth for the cats. They could also cut the lids in half and attach to the opening so the cat could go in and out and yet still keep warm. These would be especially good for areas with snow. I'm just throwing an idea for anyone wanting to help the feral cat population. Will we see an update of what you got with this haul? 😻😊

We have used for 4th of july picnic, sit on them in line; also camping items storage and emergency stuff storage. Given to homeless for storage. Old oil and antifreeze storage. Holiday decor. On and on!

If you donate the bedspreds with paint on, people can always cover with a small ruff blanket or arrange pillows over it. Duves and pillows dont matter anyway wit cases over

The comforter stuffing could be reused for quilt batting. There would be enough for a baby quilt. I would love to find them!

You could always try lightly standing when they spray paint the wood and then maybe refinish it to a stain that you like better

Companies get a bigger tax break by writing stuff off as damaged. They spray paint it because some people pull it from the dumpster and try to return it to get their money back. At least that's my guess.

I agree, why throw away bedding, dog toys that still have the tags on them!!! Canes could be used as well. The commercial on here for shelter dogs got to me 😢. I use to volunteer at an Animal Shelter on weekends, when working full time. Save a life!!! You won't regret it!! Joan ❤❤❤

You have to sand or use paint stripper to get off wood. I'm curious did you try the wax paper or freezer paper with hot iron on fabric. Place paper wx side down then touch with iron go slow finding the right heat setting. Good luck. Wax is what attaches to paint.

I remember the days that we go junking and dumpsters was our main thing but here in West Virginia it hard to get stuff out if dumpster the cops would run you off but they stores needs start donating stuff to shelters instead of just throwing it away. 🙄😡🙄😡🙄

You can use half woolite half ammonia measure same amount each time let sit 10 to 15 mins get little brush scrub area it come out 😊
