The Dunbrody Famine Ship and visitor centre tells the story of Irish emigration during the Irish famine. New Ross in Wexford was a popular departure point for Irish famine ships headed for the Americas.
The Dunbrody Visitor Centre has a restaurant and the Irish America Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame commemorates the contribution made by Irish men and women to American history. People like Walt Disney, Grace Kelly and Joe Biden are honoured.
The Dunbrody Famine Ship & Irish Emigrant Experience visitor centre is located on the quayside in New Ross, Co Wexford. The quayside is also the location of the John F. Kennedy memorial wall and statue and the Emigrant Flame.
