Dune is propably the hardest game franchise to make melee right because of the special nature of the shields. Not seeing even a second of melee in the trailer reinforces my skepticism. I want you to succeed but time will tell. Let's wait and see

After just watching dune 2 in Imax, I'm so incredibly psyched for this!!!

Lot of concerns saying "You can play how you want" but most survival games that say that have always on pvp or forced pvp which for some people just do not want to deal with, especially logging in and you no longer have a base because someone decided to blow it up while you were sleeping.

Those are some very lofty promises. Unheard of in an MMO. . . . We've all heard these things before lol

This is THE game I'm looking forward to, and this episode makes me believe that you guys can do an amazing job. Much love

Selling building blueprints is actually a really neat idea. Just think, you could sell a great looking building and include a back-door/weak spot that you could later exploit by raiding the group you just sold it to assuming they haven't discovered it.

Signed up for the testing when it was available then made all my friends do the same. We can’t wait to enjoy this game

There is an air of discretion to this entire direct. The director will say what is in the game but provide little to no specific details about it. “There are abilities”, “there is political survival”, “the game has a full leveling system” like what? He is saying so much without really saying anything. Not to mention the fact there is absolutely zero gameplay to corroborate what he is saying. It’s still too early to say much, but press like this in the current video game development culture makes me super wary. Felt like I learned nothing about the game.

Played Age of Conan for 8 years ... loved every milisecond of it. Great game, great community! Loved Frak Herbert's Dune since 1984 when I read it at 16. Love Villeneuve's movies ... so Yeah, I'm gonna give this some time and attention. ... And yes Joe ... don't serve it until it's fully cooked.

I'm curious about Stillsuits... will there be different levels of the suits and will you have to maintain them or able to customise them in order to remain proficient when out in the desert and under the sun?

Sounds AMAZING I don’t trust a word that he says. It will most likely be a different game than he’s describing. Still a Dune open world game will be fantastic can’t wait.

I have a question regarding the game. When out in the world gathering resources etc or just exploring, will there be on-screen icons for our home bases so we know in which direction to travel in order to get back to our home base?

Imagine a world where devs are not talking about developing anymore and instead focus on showing the actual game with actual gameplay, played by a competent gamer - guess would be too much fun to handle.

I am so glad to see Funcom back at storytelling. Secret World was a masterpiece and I am in no doubt Dune: Awakening will be, too.

Still playing Conan Exiles off and on since the Beta so I'm very excited to see what Funcom do with Dune.

I hope they can make the game experience compelling, I've heard many of these promises before from other developers with MMOs and they always seem to under deliver. Forced PVP in any capacity would be an automatic pass for me.

They took a lot of inspiration with the production of this showcase from Cloud Imperium and their Star Citizen Live production. Well done. Looking forward to checking this game out when it's out there.

If this is a game that can be a solo experience (similar to how ESO made their game), then I am very excited to play it. It looks amazing, and I love the books and the recent films. If I have to worry about other players interfering with and ruining my experience, then I look forward to watching interesting youtube videos made by players.

Ive seen every sci fi adaptation, and Im personally not a big fan of the Dune Part 1. But IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. Prayers I can get into the beta !!!

Imagine if we get the sand walk as a skill that you have to level up. Even if you can walk away without worry at night, they'll still come for you when outrun weapons fire. I am...cautiously optimistic after this. I've been burned a lot...but I admit I want to believe...

Secret World was the best mmo ever! I don't care much for sci-fi movies, but I will play Dune, only because Funcom made it. Conan Exile is my fav survival so far

One of my biggest issues is the lack of swords/ melee combat. I understand adding ranged combat but i hope the game has a big focus on melee combat too

As a huge fan of both Conan Exiles and the Dune books and recent movies, I have high hopes for this. Yet another literal sandbox. Haha. I'll definitely be curious to see what the modding community does this time.

As someone who was enthralled by the books and then the original film I am really imjpressed so far by the new films. I haven't seen the second one yet but am looking forward to it. I can see myself spending a few thousand hours in this game. When is this game set? before, during or after the films timeframe? Will there be any interaction with any of the characters from the film? ie will be bump into Paul in a Freman camp or something? Who is in charge of Arrakeen City? Can you learn the Freman sand walk? Does the water of life play any part in learning new abiltites or anything if learning through the bene Gesserit? Talking about water managedment, can we get hold of still suits? Just the first few things coming to mind with a very quick think about it, probably come up with a lot more if I put my mind to it. Looking forward to this greatly. ps I didn't hear a response about the riding of the worms. can they be ridden and if appropriately skilled direct the path of the worms to use in assualting fortifications etc and are shield walls a thing we can use/build?

As an veteran PVP player from Conan Exiles, I know nothing in those trailers represent the real gameplay for a massive online PVP game.

Honestly I would have loved this game if it was single player. Probably will never even bother looking at this game ever again.
