Welcome to Oregon Vaughn! Kick ass to see my favorite NASCAR driver of all time Greg Biffle out there. Cleetus doin' stuff w/ Greg and to now see him in one of your uploads is just awesome.
I've been telling people for YEEEARS that browns camp is legit. It's right in the middle of the beautiful Tillamook Forest, so many different levels of trails, it's an amazing spot. I spend almost every weekend crawling those trails in my Can Am. Firebreak 5 up to crushers, then saddle up over to airplane hill if it's open or waterfall if it's not. We will be there this weekend for a cleanup party, anyone with a garbage sack and some free time is welcome to help!
Family from the great Smokey mountains (epically beautiful) came to town and brought them camping at browns to have a good time (for me) on a few day coast trip. We were camped way far west on a butte (it’s been a while so I don’t know the name but could instantly point it out on a map), western trail that basically just leads back to the highway/John’s camp Enterance. When we woke up in the morning we were 100ft above full cloud cover. You could throw a baseball and it would be gone in a couple seconds. Showed my brother and sister in law why we live here real quick.
In my experience of going to the Oregon dunes alot. The south side of the hills are drop offs and the north side rolls. So if the ocean is on your right be cautious and expect a drop off, and if the oceans on your left your most likely going to have a smooth rolling downhill.
@@VaughnGittinJr next time will be better! The sketchiest sand dunes I've been to is Florence. That same rule Applies but there are vehicle size pits everywhere that come out of nowhere.
Ya until November and most things shift the other way, peak winter dunes here are crazy after a big storm, step ups and sand fractures! Always a good time
Yep, Windy Bay always had the tallest razors in the Oregon Dunes. The South end of Florence was my favorite area (less people than by the big parking lots at the North/jetty end).
Dang wish I would have known you guys were going to be in my neck of the woods I live 45 minutes away from browns camp glad to see you enjoy the Northwest it truly is beautiful here
Welcome to Oregon my friends. I hauled logs out brownscamp and of course take my toys there too. I live in clatsop County so brownscamp Jordan's creek and Oregon dunes are in my back yard
Windy bay was my home dunes location. On Wednesday evenings we used to have the whole dunes to ourselves. There are some big jumps out there with the correct spotters and low traffic. Sometimes you get a huge step up off of third beach parking lot. But due to wind patterns it’s a rare occasion.
Great video! Loved it! I can't wait to see a video of you guys at GLAMIS. You will absolutely love it. It looks great on video but, once you get to drive it the sky is the limit.
Yeah the new owners name is Mike. His first year if being the owner was last year and it was a total money grab with how he handled the event. Then this year I guess he didn't actually pull all the permits and they almost shut it down. Utv takeover should be pretty awsome though from the sounds of it.
@@michaelmckenzie1599 I've heard the same about permits and stuff. It may be a rumor, but I also heard he's possibly moving the event to Sand Lake. That'd be a d!ck move considering this has been one big event that Windy Bay has been known for for quite a long time.
Live in tillamook, right in the middle, heading to Winchester bay this Saturday! My favorite dunes! Hope you visited the cheese factory on the way through
I hope you guys come back again, I was there with my drag banshee, raptor and a few other things, wish you could have been here on a packed dune fest, it’s so much fun. Wish I could have gotten a chance to meet or see you there. I ride the oregon dunes all year, mainly Florence and Winchester.
Sheeewt I didn’t know you was out here!! Dammit (I remember my first time on those dunes, I was maybe 12, it was SUPER intimidating how huge they were). Vaughn would be cool to see you at one of the gambler 500’s
I love the miller lightning truck. Banshee hill looks like fun in bandito! I can believe you have never been to the dunes, my family has been going since Honda 3 wheeler days.
Yeah this upcoming takeover at winchester is gonna be awsome. More like what dunefest use ti be it sounds like. Free events, concerts etc.. free vendor row access. And 2 tier bracelet prices.
Hey Vaughn! You were in my backyard. BTW, a stock Ford Lightning (EV) can clear banshee Hill, awesome dune machine if it can get your suspension on it. If I would have known you were going to be here I would have dropped by. My EV RS1 is getting some new suspension tech I think you’d like to try on your KOH vehicles. If nothing else we can connect in Johnson Valley next year. Here’s the vid of the Lightning and Banshee Hill ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K0Z7CrsNoKg.htmlsi=lit1b_NzOT-kI98P
