On my Templar for a crowd control I’ve been using time stop.. since you can place it wherever you want... by the time you get there everyone is frozen and you can run through all the adds and pierce them
Thank you! so much great information! I'm just starting dungeons (and have been very nervous about it) and all of your information has been so helpful!
These days I find myself running a lot of random normals on my tanks for xp + transmutes and I'll typically run bloodspawn / encratis + powerful assault + war machine + void bash. I really need to go farm puncturing remedy as well.
Here I thought I was the only person that used tremorscale. It's good to see that there is some use to that set. on new accounts its usually one the first monster set I go for since its soo easy to get. When I'm in a PUG. I use Leeching with Bogdan's nightflame or Sentinel for monster set. The sets proc off of leeching's healing allowing my not to have to cast a heal. With Sentinel i also gain resources back. I don't have a full set of Yoln so I use Galenwe until I can get a complete set of Yoln.
Great content, as usual, now all we need is some clips of you doing some of the difficult DLC bosses and explaining it as you go along. I try to catch your streams (or stream recordings) so I can watch what you do but you don't usually talk through the mechanics or strategy unless someone asks you about it.
Awesome content bro, as a fledgling tank I really wanna give the necro a go do you have a necro tank build/guide vid or would you be willing to do one?
I find werewolf tanking to be very fun and effective I have done all dlc vet dungeons and even some on hardemode it does ok dps and the aoe taunt is very effective,
Problem is when you get a pug that does less than 20K group dps..... My way of dealing with it is slapping 3x proc sets on, basically almost doubling group damage...
Could you do a video on how to use the Vateshran sword and board? I'm trying to use it and sometimes I get a neat stack of enemies and sometimes I see one enemy move a bit (and that void thread thingy attached to them) but all the others just keep standing still (and don't see the thread either). Some of the enemies are really close by as well, so it shoudn't be the distance. I did all three normal craglorns today, and I think I managed to get a nice stack like 3-4 times. =(
Where are you getting the 1.625k mag recovery? I have same race/class/armor (yolna w/ pa), atronach, w/ mag recovery jewelry no potion popped - 1.481k mag recovery - w/ tri-state potion, 1.9k. I ask b/c my fav set for mag groups is yolna/worm in vet trials/dlc dung. i can spam mag skills all day long and never need balance. I just spent a fortune on PA ice staff and having a tough time with it compared to worm.
You will have a harder time managing PA compared to Worm because you are physically dropping the 129 Magicka Recovery from the 4 piece and the 145 recovery from the 5 piece so that will have some kind of impact. When using a group buff setup you will always be sacrificing something for the group, in that case you are getting a better buff from PA than Worm but you have to give up a little Magicka Recovery.
So I am. AtNk and during group stuff I’m good but solo doing mission or trying to unlock stuff. I can’t do enough damage to bosses. What do u suggest I do when soloing?
Any views on subbing the class cc for Razor Caltrops in dungeon / arena scenarios? Especially for classes with Fear or no cc such as Necro, NB or Templar? Would you consider it on the remaining classes also due to the snare and Major Breach? And would you run it in conjunction with thier class cc or just replace the class cc comletely?
I’m a big fan of Razor Caltrops if it can be worked into a build - I did mention this in the video as an option to use because the Snare is really strong and the AoE Major Breach is also great
@@TheTankClub Thanks Lee; just saw you kept Mass Hysteria and Ring for NB and Templar in the skill panes and was like surely Caltrops no? Great job as always with your content and cheers for the response!
Set it up however you like. As long as you remember to taunt on the bar with Yolnahkriin active and bash on the bar with Drakes active you can combine the sets however you want.
I don't use it personally - its up to you though. As a Warden you don't have much Stamina drain other than Block and Pierce Armor - almost all skills are Magicka so I don't like Blocking with Magicka then having no resources to cast skills
I spend more time on my S&B bar so I still put points into Tri Focus. I only get caught on my other bar every now and then, when the boss is heavy attacking. My mag recover is up around 1800, so it recovers very quick.
Came here to say this, WM on back bar with War Horn and Yolna on body pieces. DPS should be saving ults for boss fights anyways so Drake's Rush isn't making much of a difference imo.
@@soljumper I'd say it's good for a Necro Tank where you can use Colossus instead of War Horn and still give the Major Force buff. But on a DK you are still gonna use War Horn so it won't make much of a difference.
I chose Orc, because Swift Warrior. The Tank has to be up front, an out of position Tank can't tank, and the group can't have your back, unless they wait up for you. DK is not the fastest class. Their best Moblizer costs Ultimate, and if you spam that, you can't save up for Corrosive Armor/Warhorn. So, while I like to stack up on my Class Strengths, I don't like having any weaknesses. Also, the Spamina Sorcerer gets upset if he has to wait for you.
Sturdy Shield: I prefer Infused, or "8 Divines." Since you have 8 Armor slots on your back-bar, you can boost your Mundus Stone (The Steed, see above) that much more. I joke that the 8th Divine is Stendarr. Otherwise, you might as well Infuse it to get that much more out of your tristat Glyph. Block Cost isn't that big a deal if you're running an Ice-Staff back-bar. Just switch to Magicka when your Stamina gets low, and vice-versa. If you have enough Recovery (Boy, DKs do) then you can refill 1 gauge while you Block with the other.
As a Tankplar I don't use the expensive fear Turn evil. I use the rune from mage guild that knock back and stun mob. The knock back isn't a problem since it's in the air, they don't get push away. And its : 1 - Magic 2 - veryyy cheap. try it.
The problem with Lord Warden is its not really that useful for a Tank - especially in dungeon content. If you are using 5-7 Heavy, just the 1 piece of Lord Warden will take you over the resist cap and then when it procs you are way way over, combine it with the fact that your group would need to stack on a boss to be inside and get the buff also and that makes it a bit of a waste when you could just buff damage or support yourself if needed.
@@TheTankClub thank you for replying! I currently run powerful assault, drakes rush and encratis. I don't have defending on weapon and use attronach Mundus stone, that puts me around 31k resistance at cp 801. Purple gear and gold weapons. Is it worth changing Mundus stone to max resistances for vet dungeons?
@@RussellFeatherstone 31k resistance is already huge, getting the extra 2k resistances isn't worth it at all. I have a video on here about how resistances work and also if you are on our discord we have a damage mitigation sheet you can use to see what effect it has but generally for dungeon content you are looking at almost no difference between 31 and 33k
1. This is not a pug build it’s an optimised build. 2. Lord Warden is only worth using for your group if you can stand near them and they will stand still inside the Lord Warden proc which absolutely doesn’t happen in a pug dungeon
