You want to hit it with that hot/cold combo. Pure hot works, but it can take longer. There are other methods too-- My worst misshaped pieces were terrain. On those I did the ol' radiator 101. I don't recommend leaving anything except thicc pieces on a slab of wood on a radiator unless you set a timer (they can melt) but hot water alone I knew wouldn't fix those (reaper 5 bridge from the troll bridge encounter & the large playset from encounter at mandaupar pass that wouldn't even connect).

Sometimes you need a very hot boiled pot of water and then using a bowl of Ice Cubed water to cool it off afterwards.

I like your choice of a larger "handle" to mount the minis on while painting, even better than using a pill bottle. I'm going to steal that idea! I used to mount mine on little 1" cubes of wood back when. Life has left me with a lot of damage to my hands though, so this looks like a good idea.

I feel ya, there seems to be a misconnect with the techniques and properties used. The problem with a group is going through a few sessions without break points that are obvious.

you are brave. I would never bring my paints anywhere near my computer, but I am pretty sloppy.

Hm, i saw that kit but thought it was a for sale item put in the wrong spot. Hopefully someone who wants to learn picked it up.

I've painted all my figures with a single brush.
