They were all masters of advertising back then. From ivory soap to candy bars, Coca-Cola, tobacco and everything in between. I love looking through vintage magazines especially Saturday Evening Post just to look at the ads. Wish advertising was still like that today.
No kidding, Dunhill cigarettes. I bet they did smell fantastic! I've had the opportunity to try a few vintage cigs at pipe shows that were shared by some generous folks and they were fantastic. The smell of sweet aged Virginia leaf rivaled that of any highly sought after aged pipe tobaccos. Thanks for sharing Parker, yet even another fine production!😉😎👍🍂🔥💨
You never cease to amaze me. When I get a notification that you have dropped a video the world stops for me and I must watch. As always Great work on this video a big 👍🏾.
Another amazing find! It looked as though the cigarettes were unfiltered? I think you should have enjoyed a few puffs maybe without inhaling. Thanks for another brilliant post.
Great video! I'm also not a cigarette smoker (just pipes and fine cigars), but this was very intriguing. I love old commercials from this time period. Thanks for the great trip to yesteryear. Speaking of old commercials, I will sometimes watch the TV series from the 50s on Prime, called Ozzie and Harriet. Great old series with the occasional pipe reference and old commercials.
Thanks , Nick! I love old commercials and pretty much anything related to the time period. Thanks for telling me about that show! I’ll have to check it out.
Now there is an idea 🤣. I believe the shape has to do with how the cigarettes are packaged. There are cigars that are box pressed which result in a similar shape. Fascinating nonetheless. One could get lost in all the aspects of tobacciana
