Once an impregnable fortress of the Earls.arischal. Once one of the most powerful families in Scotland.
The castle played host to William Wallace and Mary Queen of Scots and is famous for its role in saving the Honours of Scotland (the Scottish Crown Jewels) from Oliver Cronwell's army in the 1650s
It is located on the Aberdeenshire coastline near the historical harbour town of Stonehaven.
Steeped in history, Dunnottar Castle is a must visit place.

Dunnottar Castle is a great place. Was there a couple of years ago. Got to hike from Dunnottar to Stone Haven and had lunch at the Golf Club. Nice video, and thank you for sharing. Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Take care.

What a stunning castle and what a job building the original buddings up there too. Absolutely loved the drone footage and I notice a lot of gulls about, have you ever had an issues with birds and your drone? Cheers Alan

Thank you very much, Alan. It's a fabulous place to visit. I was out of bed very early to get this one. Birds didn't bother me. I have had issues with them before. Whitby was my worst experience. They wanted to bring the drone down. Would have flown more of the town, but it wasn't worth the risk.Have a great weekend 🫡❤️
