This is the Duolingo English practice test performed on 28th April 2024 achieving the score of 150. This video highlights the tips and strategies used to answer different question types.

Hello, You can pay for the test using Credit/Debit card or other services like Google/Apple pay or paypal. For any credit/debit card, you need to make sure that your international transaction are enabled or else the payment won't go through.

Hello, The score you desire is achievable for sure. I normally recommend everyone to keep on practicing until your low-level score on practice test reaches the score that you desire. You'll have to make some changes to your answers in speaking and writing sections. Learn few synonyms, so that you can add variety of words in your answer to show off vocabulary. Try to learn some linking words as they would make your sentences complex. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

My desired score is 130 but I'm getting 110 - 115. I always get stuck at speaking section. I can speak English but i can't find right words at right time. In writing section we have some time to think while writing. i think I have to make up crazy stories like this 47:50

Hello, 115 is a good score. To improve your score, Learn few synonyms, so that you can add variety of words in your answer to show off vocabulary. Try to learn some linking words as they would make your sentences complex. Try forming your answer in the Intro+Main idea+conclusion for both speaking and writing answer. Basically, check out how I form the writing answer in my current and other practice test videos. And for writing, you can be creative and make up stories to increase your content.

Hello, No, you are not supposed to speak during the test unless you are instructed to do so. Doing so can/may lead to test invalidation. In my videos I speak during the read the sentence just to give you an idea on how to approach the question. On the certified test, I would read the sentence in my mind and then start recording. Let me know in case you have more questions.

Hello, I would recommend to have low level score to be the one that you desire to score. In your case 115. If you are comfortable in scoring that, then you will have an idea on how to perform on actual test.

Hii brother From the last two weeks I was watching your videos it was so helpful for me and 2 days back I have taken my test and after all the verification is done and the exam was started and after selecting the first answer my screen was turned into a blank page and i was unable to move to next section and on the screen it was shown it was due to the technical issue and you can take your test for free but after again taking the test the same thing has been repeated and it was same the blank screen it was technical issue from the duolingo side becuase my brother had also got the same issue after me Does any of your subscriber or your student had this issue could you help me with this brother.

Hello, Firstly, I am sorry to hear about the technical issues that you faced. I would say it is very common these days to have DET screen turning blank and showing technical error. I have seen a lot of students with the same issue. But I would say don't worry about this error because as long as there is a technical issue from DET's end, you'll get a free turn to do your exam again. Now to avoid it, I would recommend you using their Duolingo English Test app. Here's the link to it : englishtest.duolingo.com/download There are multiple benefits to it. You can close all the existing open applications and I have heard that screen blank issue is less compared to the browser. Just be careful and make sure that you comply with all the other rules which could lead to invalidation. Let me know in case you have any more questions.

Hello, Most definitely. I think the way how I worked upon my speaking is by trying to engage in conversation with someone more frequently in English. At first it will be really awkward, but soon you will realize your speaking improving over time. These days you can even try speaking with any AI.

Hello, Yes, you can connect your laptop with mobile hotspot to give your certified test. The only thing I would advise is make sure that your mobile hotspot is reliable and good. Because if your test is interrupted because of connectivity issue at your end, it'll be hard to get a chance to give exam again for the same purchase and you might have to purchase again.

Hello, Mainly students face issues with achieving good production score. In that case, make sure you understand the writing and speaking question. Secondly, make sure that you answer what is being asked. For example, if there are 3 sub question in a question, make sure that you are answering them specifically at first. Learn few synonyms, so that you can add variety of words in your answer to show off vocabulary. Hello, 100-115 is a good score. Scores in practice test gives you idea on how you need to perform in order to get the score in that range. However, you also need to consider that it doesn't guarantee you the same score in test. Weather you can give the exam or not completely depends on your preparation. If you feel confident about your preparation, you should go for certified test.

Hello, So, I would put it this way, the certified test feels a bit on a hard side as you are supposed to prepare the answer on the spot for the questions that you never encountered before. However, it doesn't mean that it will actually be hard every time because it ultimately depends on your ability to produce the answers. Hope that answers your question.

Hello, I think you are talking about the survey that appears at the end of test. It is optional and you are give an option on the right corner to skip it. If you opt in for it, you will be asked about some questions on your test experience. Usaully students just skip it.

Hello, Yes, you can take the certified test on DET's website. It is not mandatory to download the app and give exam on it. However, I would recommend downloading the app for two main reasons 1. You can make sure that only the DET's app is running in the background in task bar and close rest of them. 2. The Invalidation reasons like you exited the test window or test interruption are less compared to the giving test on website.

For writing, You can simply start by answering all the questions that are asked. Secondly, Try to make less grammatical errors. Lastly, try to use the structure of Intro+Main idea+conclusion ti formulate your answer. Following these will surely increase your score.
