The all new Duotone Whizz has to be one of, if not the most versatile, high-performance range of foils in the extensive Duotone range of front wings. Designed to excel in a variety of disciplines including Prone, all round winging, wing surf, downwind, and wake - the Duotone Whizz can do it all thanks to its surprisingly agile and responsive ride.

The sizes seem quite huge for winging, starting from 850. Is maybe a dlab version for bigger waves expected?

They are on the larger size as a range but really, the size see's to drop away due to just how playful the Whizz is. No indication yet that a smaller size is coming the range as the Carve 2.0 fills this gap brilliantly in our opinion. What has been made clear however is that due to the speed of development etc, big product range releases will slowly become a thing of the past as Duotone will be releasing product in a much quicker fashion as development finishes. Good news all round we say.

Hello! I love my Aero Free 1000 and it is my daily driver in all conditions. I weigh 65kg and would consider myself an intermediate winger usually riding ocean waves in the waist to chest high range. How do the two compare? Any reason to switch? Both marketed as sitting between the carve and glide range. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! In short, the Whizz is a more dynamic wing that is more lively and can breach wings tips without issue. We recommend seeking out the Whizz to demo before commiting to one just to be sure it is for you.

Hi 👋, I feel the same about my Aero Free 800! And I did use the 1000 before as well for a year. Yesterday I used the Aero Free 800 after one month on the Whizz 1000. It seems almost as if the Whizz is turning as or more narrow in 200cm bigger in size. Whereas the glide and pumping of the Whizz is so much better. I'd go back to the Aero Free in a bit more powerful fast waves . But the magic of the Whizz is the combination of narrow lively turns and good glide/pumping and so low stall speed.😊 It takes some time to be able to unfold what you can do..my friends tried it for an hour and said..it's slow..and not so stable 😂...give it a few days. You could go down to the 850...very comparable with the 1000Aero Free's wind range.😊

How does it pump? Maybe compared to the glide? I am a prone surfer and trying to find the right Duotone foil set.

Thanks for watching. We would say the Whizz is the perfect prone pumping wing, ultimately the Glide series of wings will have the most glide and cadence when pumping but for ultimate carvability the Whizz has to be the choice its specifically designed to be a prone and wake foil. And has some of the best elements from the Glide series and carve series but also adds its own distinct attributes with the dihedral wing design which makes it so forgiving on tip breaches and amazing roll axis that lets it effortlessly carve from side to side.

Hi, I've spent 3months on the Glide 905 and 1085 in the waves of Morocco. As said already. Great Glide. The 1085 is limited in speed and gets to its limit above 1.5m waves. The 905 Glide you can ride in 2.5m and it is not at its limit. However the Glide series turn very wide. It's hard to stay in the pocket.😅 Now I've been using the 1000Whizz since 1month. But wakefoiling..downwinding...Winging. It is truly an amazing foil. Turns so narrow. And the low stall speed is much better...I imagine for proning..connecting waves. The Whizz 1000 has its max speed at round about 38km/h. So not for big and fast waves...the bigger and faster waves the Glide 905 can handle better. Or the Aero Carve (but not so great for pumping or glide😅) Back to your question..I'd say the Glide makes more ground when pumping...but needs a faster minimum speed ..so you may be able to pump longer with the Whizz at less speed😅😅
