I really like your thought process here! Sometimes close enough is really all you need. I’m impressed at how honest you are with yourself about what you really wear vs what you like the look of in the bottle. Too easy to fall into the “ooh pretty” trap 😊

I'm impressed with how well you managed to capture the vibe of so many of these-- especially the Whatcha! Seeing your dupe, I now have ideas of how I could do it with polishes in my collection. Your though process is wonderful, you've really analysed weather or not it's worth buying based on how much you love the possible dupe you have. I like "scratch the itch" . BCB caught my eye too, I have Kathleen and Co Rosary Pea, one coat of that and one coat of Emily deMolly Deadly Secrets and I had a dupe! I really enjoyed watching this video, thank you.❤❤

I think you did a great job of finding/creating dupes. It's gotta be hard though when you see something you really want to have. It was interesting to see your dupes and I think you came pretty close to several, which you could cross off your list. Keep it up! TFS!

I really like your duping process. I think I have got my list down to 3, Kathleen & Co, Cuticula, and Swamp Gloss. And I think I’m okay with that. Assuming I can get my HHC list to 2-3, that will fit into my low buy goal this month. And then I’ll be done shopping for August lol.

I was trying to dupe the Wildflower polish from this month with my other blue wildflower lashes. While I was doing it just made me realize how much I appreciate their blues and made me want it more 😂

Hey, I did so good. I kept to my no/low buy rule and only purchased two items at PPU yesterday. One polish and a stamping plate. I picked up "Chicago Fire" a few weeks ago. I can't wait to wear it. The only polish I purchased is BCB Lacquers "You Shall Not Pass" and I stuck to my low buy rule which means just two items. I also purchased my first stamping plate. :) I don't feel like I'm at the point where I have any desire to dupe. Maybe one day...for now I'm good. I'm impressed with your duping capabilities though. :)

@@JambolinasWorld I honestly am not into red too much, but I'm sure I'll love it. A lady posted pics of her wearing "Chicago Fire" topped with "Get Your Life Right, Boo" and it's gorgeous. When she gets back from her vacation we're going to do a twin mani with this combo together. :D

This is such a great idea! The dupes you created were bang on for the polishes they were inspired by! In fact, the blue Emily de Molly is so similar to the Red Eyed Lacquer I have on my wishlist! My only issue is, I don't always remember what I own!😅 Do you have a cataloging system?

I actually don't have much of a system. I do have most things grouped together by brand but thats about it. I have heard laqcuergram is a nice cataloging system though
Your dupe for Whatcha is brilliant - you should be proud of that! 🥳 Really fun video. Dupe-it videos have become a favorite of mine & I'd love to see more. So far I haven't ordered PPU this month but I'm acutely aware that it closes tonight 🫣 I've talked myself out of BKL, Beau Reves & many others. I'm struggling with Cuticula, Wildflower Lacquer & Sassy sauce. The hype/popularity around the Cuticula is getting to me lol, so I'm trying really hard to not let that impact my decision. I've talked myself out of the WFL multiple times, but it's still on the wishlist 😂 These 2 phrases really stood out to me: - "I don't really wear polishes like this very often I'm Just very attracted to the way they look" - "l'm just going to allow myself to enjoy what I have for this one" It really helps to hear your thought process & I'll be remembering these in future! P.s. I recently started using the rubber band method in my collection but some of them dried up & fell of within a few months 😭 I'm guessing it's down to humidity or exposure to light (despite almost all being in Helmers in the dark) I'm wondering if you've encountered the same issue with the bands degrading & falling off? Maybe mine are low quality, or maybe it really is too humid here, that's why I'm asking around whenever I see someone using rubber bands lol
@@JJBabbles first off I love a juicy comment like this so thanks I'm always excited to talk nail stuff haha. I would love to do more of these in the future & got through and share my thoughts process more. 😃 I totally have found that some of my bands have broken or dragraded over time, they seem to either stick to the bottle or fall close enough that I can tell which bottle needs a replacement band though so that has been lucky haha
@@JambolinasWorld although I do have a tendency to waffle on 🤣 Yes the band's usually fall close enough to the bottle that I can replace it easily. Glad I'm not the only one who's run into this issue!
