@@Miitsu222 Yeah its mostly Microsoft, and as long as we are being honest some higher moderation was needed with all those degenerates greifing tens of thousands of private servers. Still, should've just covered greifing and hacking and thats it.
@@mrclean3088 A lot of plugins have their code published, especially if they're free. How do you know that the plugin you just installed is not a virus? Read its code! (Not all though) Also, since plugins are written in Java, it's relatively easy to decompile and read the code from the plugin itself.
If Mojang can hire a moderation team to ban players who say naughty words, they can hire an investigation team to have a cursory glance at a pay to win server.
I actually spent over $200 on this server as a child once for my birthday and honestly ive regretted it and hated the reliance on it that this server has. Thank you so much for this Sal
@@anon3247 well as a kid I used to get like $400 per birthday in total cos there was 2 sets of grandparents, my parents, my aunts and my uncles all giving money and I usually spent it on snapcraft
You should definitely shutdown a P2W server called Vanilla Realms. They've literally banned people in the past for calling out the server for being p2w, therefore, the staff team spreads rumours about these players being griefers and whatnot. Vanilla Realms encourages gambling amongst the younger playerbase by selling crate keys, which contain non-vanilla enchanted items (i'm speaking armour with projectile prot 8 x blast prot 8 etc.) They sell ranks, which are by no means cosmetic. Those give you insane perks e.g. unlimited /sethomes, unlimited player warps, AND EVEN KEEP INVENTORY, DAMN IT. And that's not even it, the most expensive rank costs $100, it gives you all listed above and like 20 more features. My good friend PulseEXEmachina was a very impactful character in vanilla realms' history and after asking for the crates to be revamped, it resulted in a ban. And no-no, it's not him just who got banned, they banned every single acquaintance of his. So yeah, Vanilla Realms is the definition of a P2W server.
That’s kinda how it’s always been, though encouraging them to pay money and having absolutely no reasonable way of getting them ( kinda like many faction servers ) is BS
Dude i absolutely love you for doing this, this was my main server to play on for the longest time. the owner of the server has pulled me and many other people into rooms promising "free money" in return for showing the exploits etc. AND when you do buy something if he doesn't like if it changed the meta etc he will nerf everything people buy to make it worse then when you bought it and won't give refunds etc HIGHLY HIGHLY excited to see you do this to snapcraft
@@Rfrogz12 idk what u might remember me by but my name was needashorname and one time I spent a lot of money on one of your twitch streams and I knew u from snapcraft
I used to play on this server as a free player so much like 5 or 6 years ago. People with ranks used to piss me off so much. I would always call them out for being P2W but they'd never admit to the server being P2W.
So... why you spend on it anyways? What was your thoughts at that time? Im just interested the behaviors paying something for power. I never paid any game that is pay to win because I recognize a shifty deal
This was hard to watch because I played snap craft frequently back in 2015 and it was a genuinely fun server with unique game modes. It’s sad to see it fall so low
what i find most funny is how its not even clever server lagging or "vanilla" duppings its just using the systems the server creators made and exploiting them its beautiful
I used to play this server 2015 to 2017. The server got rid of any games they couldn’t make money on. I was friends with a bunch of the staff at that time. I couldn’t tell you anything about who or what’s on the server now. You can tell though that the owner cares more about making money than the actual server. Back in the day one of the staff members who I think was an admin went crazy and started banning a lot of people. Some admins would even help their friends. Like if you set a spawn point near someone’s base on survival or factions so you could raid them they would delete your spawn point. This server was out of control and clearly the owner didn’t care. Some of those people I’m still friends with but none of them work for the server, play the server or play Minecraft anymore. So I noticed someone say a name in chat that I knew in 2015. I was wrong about no one I knew back then playing on the server. I knew ccgreen back then but she wasn’t staff and now she’s an admin. Had to update the post when I saw her in tab lol.
I played on the server during the same time period. One of my favorite gamemodes was called earthgames (basically just team deathmatch). Unfortunately they removed that too probably for the reasons you mentioned above.
@@luka3532 earth games was so fun. That's all I give the server but it didn't make enough money off the rank you could buy so they got rid of it. An admin friend at the time he got rid of it told me that's why he got rid of it. Really the mode wasn't anything to special but it was a little different and I did have a rank for it and kit back then.
Honestly I think it's better to first dupe a large stash, then purposely have a few alts distribute and get caught. This way, the Admins will think it's all over and overlook where the keys are coming from. Alternatively, they'll just think it's another dupe, since the previous one is supposedly patched, and waste resources patching a nonexistent dupe.
i always played snapcraft as a kid was the first server i went on and i never knew how pay to win this is. The server also changed so much since 5 years ago
Love how most "Kit pvp" servers are actually just servers where people can "donate" money and get rewarded with a rank , which often times provides a bigger advantage than normal ... Worst part however is the fact that people actually spend money and even play on such servers :/
i only ever donated to a server once and it was so i could fly in survival and build more complex things alot easier and if i'm remembering right it was like 5 bucks so i dont even regret buying it tbh
U should dupe on a bunch of servers and wait a few months before u destroy the economy. So if they have backups it doesnt matter as u will still have the items stashed somewhere on their backups
A lot of duper channels I've seen tend to just mess with the server ASAP instead of letting the duped goods simmer for a while. I understand, it takes a LOT of effort and countless months already to get a single video because of finding servers that deserve it, finding a possible dupe, and then getting people together to execute it, they almost can't afford to wait any longer to create content. Doesn't mean I wish we could see a dupe video where they say "we let the dupe sit for weeks before executing". It would be hype AF.
@@mememachine559 ye but if they did it multiple times they would create a backlog of content they can slowly release and actually do damage to a server. Other than like this where the owner can just do a roll back and it’s like nothing happened
@@Robstrap agreed it's actually pointless since all they had to do was rollback and boom nothing happened. The vid basically does nothing because all they got to do is rollback
@@ABeastGaming imo it still can do damage, bcuz he showed the viewers how to do the dupes. Unless they already fixed this auction mistake b4 this video was uploaded than welp, good try ig
Sal thank you for doing gods work, the watchmen (the builders of the giant oWo) before they disbanded tried to destroy this server. Thank you for completing the goal that we were not able to do.
i used to play on this server a bunch lots of years ago, but only ever played their lucky block gamemode, never bought anything thankfully. glad to see this!
you guys have to distribute them more subtly, like just go down and fight with a few on you, or just drop a few at a time instead of stacks because then you really would mess the server up
These admins are so lucky you are somehow still so ineffective at distributing items without gathering too much attention. If you would sneakily introduce items over periods of time you would actually cause problens
the phrase "rip the eco again" near the end of the vid is fucking hilarious cause it means that people have duped several times and they havent been able to fix it LMAO
I actually have a rank on this server, but it’s because it’s the first server I ever played on, like 10 years ago. But I quit cuz it was wayy too pay to win. Thanks for doing something about this:)
1. Dupe on main alt. Give gear to a mule alt. 2. Go dark for a month to save mule account on a server backup. 3. Give main alt gear from mule alt and distribute discreetly to AFKs while admins are offline. 4. If discovered and banned, use mule to reload magazines on new alt. 5. Admins, in desperation, perform a server rollback. 6. Mule alt is topped off by admins. The chaos continues. Bonus points if you never reveal the dupe method in a video so their programmer can't figure out how you did it, so they can't fix it.
I'm getting married, and one of my fears when I become a parent is finding out that my child would have spent thousands of dollars with my credit card to try to win in a pay-to-win game. Pay to win servers teach kids at an early age to have gambling impulses. Anyone with a friend or loved one suffering from a gambling addiction knows how dark of a hole that is. Binge watching duping and lagging P2W servers for several days now. Your content gives me great comfort and confidence to have a child someday, because I know that people like you are out there to protect children on occasions where parents cannot see all emerging threats to their children's upbringing. You are doing God's work.
"This guy is using fishing rods what's that gonna do?" This guy has clearly never played legacy PVP. I haven't played much either but from what I gather, fishing rods are used to pull the player back to you for another hit. The old PVP system basically encouraged combo-ing, as it is called. Anyways, great video as always!
@@PandaPanda-lm7vx it's called legacy pvp because that is literally what it is. I don't care what most people call it, it's an old, legacy version. Edit: i misunderstood your comment. Tweaking mine to make more sense.
@Morbius 🅥 NO WAY GUSYSSS THANK YOU SO MUCH, I didn't know what to do but when i saw that its finally here my heart light up and im now happy. thanks for saving my life
Fishing rods are an integral part of 1.8 and pre pvp update combat. They let you extend your combos when melee would be out of range and can be used as a combo starter. They also let you pressure people who try to run straight at you. There's also a pvp glitch called a rod trick. When you hit someone with a rod and then click on them during the invincibility frames, they won't get hit by your swing since they are in s, but for some reason, minecraft will register the hit anyways. So even if they visually get hit by the rod only they will still take damage from the swing. This increases your range. Even weirder, sometimes minecraft will register both the rod and the sword hit as sword hits. So they can effectively get hit once by a fishing rod and take two swings of damage. And then get comboed into oblivion
Snapcraft is a really old server, which was really big back in the day (early 2012-era) and has kept most of their minigames to somewhat similar standards, this ofcourse is the same for ranks and cosmetics being sold in the shop. I was in the administrative team back in its earlier days, and we were a prime contestant to A-tier servers with Mineplex, Hive and Hypixel being the main ones. I left in 2015 (after EULA's 'release' in 2013), as the owners and leaders would not change their ways to comply with the new regiment. Some of my final words were "this is going to come back to you one day or another", and they all laughed. - Thank you, Sal, for proving them wrong!
"they are using fishing rods what is that gonna do?" minecraft is such a multi faceted game that someone who has been playing it for many years doesn't know basic pvp
I remember I spoke to the owner of this server once, I was in a discord with him and I'd been banned cos I was hacking on the server. I asked him to unban me so I could test his anticheat and I got unbanned lol
Is it just me or is it ironic that the server is called snapcraft, the same as the software distribution format, both of which try to make a lot of money off you!
