www.ComposiMold.com In this video tutorial you will see just how easy it is to duplicate a collection of ceramic figurines. I used ComposiMold to create a mold of my figurines and then casted them in ComposiCast, our polyurethane resin.

Hi Marty, YES! Also, I replied to this question on our other video. We look forward to talking with you more about your project. Email us at info@composimold.

Indra, I'm sorry I missed your question! The answer (9 months later)...I used powder here instead of mold release because my son was an infant and I just wanted to be super careful about what I was spraying in my house. The powder worked just as good as mold release here. Thanks for asking!

Does this only work with ceramic figurines? I want to sculpt my own little characters out of magic sculpt and make a lot copies of them this way so I can sell them, but I need to know if it'll work. I look forward to your or anyone's response. Thank you

Can I ask if you can paint the copies with the material you used?
@ComposiMold

Thank you for the question! Yes you can just scuff it up a bit with sandpaper and apply a white primer for best results.

Hi! Very cool video! Do you think I can do that with a mug? I broke all my mom’s favourite mugs when I was younger and there is only one left. I’d like to make copies of the last one.

Yvette R.S. Thank you for the comment! I am glad to hear that you like the video! We never got around to painting these duplicates, but if you create your own duplicates you could definitely paint them! Do you have a mold making project in mind?

I am thinking of making a business off of ceramic figurines. But if I were to make molds of some of the figurines I have bought online and then sell the duplicates (painted and unpainted), would that be in any way illegal? Could I be sued or get into trouble?

Yes and yes. It's called 'forgery' or 'counterfeiting', and is a crime. I am surprised this video is allowed on youtube really.
