The batteries are rub in series. Multiply 1.5x12 and you have your nominal voltage. New AA batteries are often 1.5 to 1.6 actual volts. Really no need for jumpers and a meter. People be careful. The batteries in three of these i bought leaked all in the flashlights. Im attempting to salvage them. That lead me here. I was hoping to see the disassembly of the flashlight not removing the battery pack.
@@BestUserNameUK How you know about getting free batteries from the stores at my work lol. I actually have another idea which is using 14500 lithium batteries which are 3.7v. They are used as backup batteries on some of the circuit boards at work and have to be changed after a certain amount of years. There is actually nothing wrong with the old batteries that get removed but just have to be changed as that is the procedure. So will be doing some tinkering with them.
