Got the injectors all back from Bitterroot Diesel Performance. Had them install 60 over nozzles, clean and full tune/flow bench all of the injectors. Im REALLY excited to see how these perform!

I had Bitterroot hone/extrude my stock bosch nozzles and balance everything. Installed it and had a issue with cylinder 6. Sent cyl 6 injector back them. They fixed and now it runs great.

Yes sir that's the correct way your injectors should have been done. I used to work for a company call Gerhardts they did fuel injection, governors, turbos, ignition controls, lube pumps. I worked in the governor department . The fuel injection department did all types of injectors and pumps. We had a performance shop behind our shop. Anytime you get a pump, injectors, Governor done should have a service report and a spec sheet stating how they perform on the bench. I am enjoy watching your videos you go into detail. When I went field Trip in my class rail maintenance mechnic here in Los Angeles California at Santa Fe those locomotor engine Diesel engine The injectors are huge maybe 3 times bigger than the dutmax

Motor is so clean. Did I hear you say that you are now running dual CP3 pumps? Would you recommend doing that over running a larger CP3 pump? Did you say stage 5 Suncoast transmission? Think last I saw was a stage 4. At the transfer of power which converter did you go with and, if it wasn't included with the built transmission, would you have upgraded to the billet flexplate and associated parts? What about two disc clutch and or running a deeper pan? Since great power comes with great responsibility are you planning on upgrading your transfer case, driveshafts, and/or rear axle? Last question, what gear ratios did the truck come with (3.73 ???) and do you think you'll change the gear ratios? Awesome video. My apologies for so many questions. The pros and cons are more subjective. That said, I think truck survivability should always be the main focus. Can't wait to see the truck come together and hear what that thing does when you get on it!!! Have a blessed day all!!!

For the first one yes, running dual cp3, both stock. That will give me the biggest versatility to be able to do more later if needed rather than buying another bigger cp3 again. AND, I got this setup for a really good price second hand. And yeah I said 5 but you caught that mis-speak... it’s going to be a stage 4 PPE trans, billet c2 hub but not shafts. As far as the flexplate, time and money we’re short on that one so that’ll be left for a future project., prob with the bottom end. Converter is a suncoast, I had restalled to a GM-1074-3DR. T case will be a future video as well as I’m hoping for a conversion from a two piece to a one piece drive shaft.

Hi just discovered your channel great content, I’m looking for advice just bought a 02 lb7 that needs injectors with 204k it’s all stock I’m looking for a good price on injectors, or if anyone offfers any package deals I’m thinking off just tearing it all down and doing head gaskets and studs while I’m there so I can have trouble free driving for lots of miles.

Rustbelt Mechanic yeah if there is not already a video out there someone should make one talking about all model duramax injectors cause like the lb7 you can find stock ones on the internet from $1000.00 to $3500.00 and up so if your joe blow and you don’t deal with a supplier day in and day out it’s miss leading on what set you should go with to get the most of your $.

@@chriswittnebel505 It's the old adage, you get what you pay for. At the bottom price point you're just buying used injectors that are "ok" at the time of sale. At the top price point you're usually paying to cover big margins and overhead.

Hey so why did you spent $1100 ish dollars repairing your injectors when you could have got a set of exergy injectors for just over 2000? I’m trying to decide what to do with my injectors and would like to hear what your reasons for going this path are so maybe it can help me decide also. If you don’t mind to share them? Thanks a lot for the great videos!!! started watching you from truck master recommendation going through lots of your vids 👍👌👍

Thanks man! For one I chose them bc of price point. Also I explained in the video how even new ones may come with even up over 9% differentiations between all 8 injectors. Seriously, just call up Bitterroot diesel, they are a wealth of knowledge and are more than eager to help in making a decision based on your needs.

No it would definitely be more expensive. I got a discount, and this video was a few years ago and before epa regulations clamping down on the aftermarket diesel industry
