Today on 200 Degrees I drive my friends 1979 Crew Cab Dually Long Box LBZ NV4500 swapped Square Body Chevrolet truck. And if that title sounds long, don't worry so is the truck! But it is a blast to drive and so impressive how much work Dustin put into making this thing drive as well as it does!

Un gran trozo de historia las Dually estaban ligadas a procesos pruductivos de las personas granjas, empresas, obra civil etc etc. ahora veo hay muchos que las reustaura simplemente para tener el gusto de conducirlas. Ironico tanto trabajo en ella para que sufriera un golpe. Tenemos que pedirle al Todo Poderoso bendiga y proteja todos nuestros proyectos. saludos desde Iztapalapa CDMX.

On forums he’s got a whole write up about the machining process and all the work he did. I don’t have a link but he wrote the book on it aha

@@1988diesel I just followed up with him, it's not on a forum, turns out he posted in facebook groups: "Square Body Duramax Swap" and "Duramax engine swaps" under Dustin larrimore, or you can look him up on instagram where he's got some posts on it as well

I’ll do some searching to try and find the article with pictures I used that had a template. But if you join Manual Swapped Panthers on Facebook there’s a wealth of information, you can look me up as Devlin and there should be other people who did it who will have suggestions. Cheers!

That must be powerful with that conversion but those big rims are hideous should've stayed with the original 16inch and put stainless steel wheel covers on it they would look a whole lot better than those ghetto rims they suck.

Haha I’ve very slowly started collecting parts. So far I have the injection pump for the OM606. Now all I need is the truck/engine/transmission 🤣 it’s basically finished right? It’s coming along though, I’m just being picky on my truck choice

I know the exact intersection, there’s no wayyy that truck didn’t see it coming! It’s like a 1km straightaway aha But yea it was certainly going quickly, well over the speed limit

This '79 Chevy Silverado still runs great, but it needs a good paint coat on the bodywork to look renewed. Too much rusty even on hood cap

Duramax for better mileage? Do you think an LT Gen 5 would have an even better mileage in this car

For best towing and mileage is why, and it’s cool. But I recently rented a gm uhaul with the new 6.6 gas and I was blown away, good Power, good mileage great torque. It was a great engine!

It would get better milage but make alot less torque and be less efficient overall a truck this big should have a diesel in it
