In its day, the MG sportscar was a budget car for the man who couldn't afford any luxury. Average UK salary then was 36 GBP/week. A house was 4,000. The MG midget was 945 GBP or about half a gross annual salary. Compare that to today's salary and sports cars! Thanks for the enthusiasm.
The British, Germans, other Europeans DON'T like "warm" beer- they just drink it at cellar temperatures: 50-55 F. Their beers actually taste GOOD and don't NEED to be served so cold your tongue can't taste it.
I just bought an 06 ESV to replace my 96 suburban. Wasn’t looking, but spotted a pristine example locally that I couldn’t pass up. It’s quite an upgrade.
Still think crossovers are junk just for suburban people to buy and feel like they are "sportier" for some odd reason, and are different than the original CRV. If you want to put it in the category of "first crossover" you better add the Pontiac Aztek as well. I think the CRV is in its own league and not trying to be a car or "cooler than a minivan." It is Japanese midsize excellence. Why did you even bring the Mazda into the video? I clicked to see about the CRV, lamewad lol
That thing looks cherry lol😂 i live in the U.P. its even worse. Hell my first pickup had a floor made of plywood and 2 body mounts were pieces of hardwood and hockey pucks 😂😂😂 it was a Flintstone machine!
That machine sounds like a unit for sure! Haha This is one of my better cars for sure, just a hard part to get out. My Firefly turbo has a road sign for a floor lol
@@200degrees ohhhh haha ya that sucks. I bought a used 2007 JK Wrangker 2 years ago. It's been in northern Ontario salt. not great and not horrible. Never rust proofed. I rust proofed it living in Grey Bruce because they use brine. It's so bad. The Jeeo is rusting 10x faster even with rust proofing. All its doing is slowing it down. I used Crown for a couecof years and I'm not convinced it can hold up to intense brine use locals.
@@Marco858636 That sucks! Brine just eats away at things! This was a Saskatchewan/Alberta car so it had some winters, I will be grinding down and painting this cross member and then undercoating it as this is my winter car.
75% used oil 25% kerosene fuel oil or diesel just not gasoline!!! hope this helps spray that undercarriage once every 30 days it will not rust or you can do double duty down here in the south!!! undercoat then you spray it with what I just told you about every month!!!
I love the rust peppering my eyeballs every time i crawl under my car, had to master the safety-squint. I’m also never prepared for all the bolts I’ll break taking things apart😒
Every time I go to remove any exhaust nowadays I just hope it breaks right away because it's faster than getting half way off with a lot of effort and then eventually snapping lol
@@200degrees i just finished replacing a dual mass flywheel on a diesel Jetta. I thought it was going to take a week of working on it an hour or two per day… It was on jack stands for a month and half. Destroyed the lower transition mount bushings because the bolt was rusted, so i had to remove the subframe to press new ones in, broke all the sway bar mounting bolts, the sway bar links, two lug bolts… spent 3/4 of the time waiting for new parts to replace the ones i broke due to rust. Started using the penetrating fluid made by CRC (same people who make evapo-rust) saved me a few bolts
The design certainly was but the concept of the Miata was to replace the open top sports cars so MG's/Triumphs/Spitfires/Lotus's etc were the spiritual inspiration.
I have a 02 fx4 with 4 in suspension lift 285/75/16 with 280k and a 04 xlt 4x4 with 4 in body lift 33/12.5/15 and 75k. Bought the 02 new got the 04 a year ago. I think the body lift is better and much cheaper by like 800$.. don't have quite the suspension travel with the body lift but have the same clearance..
"and I'm going barely the speed limit..?" As a former owner, my sentiment exactly! I liked to brag I could drift around a corner without breaking the speed limit.
I have pretty much the same car but in black. '03 ultimate with the charcoal interior. It's in my driveway with the transmission out of it, TR3650 going in after I do the rear main seal and cut a hole in the floor. Also did 3.73s with the trac lok. Plus most of the cop bolt ons and Intellitronix digital gauges in an A-pillar pod. These cars are phenomenal. So easy to work on. They're going up in price big-time, I might have to snag another one because I'm gonna miss the column shift more than I'd like to admit. Maybe a Towncar for black tie occasions.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TmT1hLsdqWc.htmlsi=LstlLRQPCX0gjNKx i know this is old, but could something like this be done to the xc70? He turned it of in the menu and disconnected fhe yaw sensor.
