My Skate Team LOVED these guys and wanted to see them in Concert. I found out they were Performing in Long Island New York. They were at the Nassau Coliseum!!! I bought Tickets for us to be down front and close to the stage and REALLY enjoy the Concert. My Girls were ELATED I Got the Tickets because the Concert was SOLD OUT!!!! We got to the Coliseum and the place was ELECTRIC!!! I Could NOT Believe I was Face to Face with Duran Duran. We all were enjoying the Music and the girls were FREAKING OUT!!!! over the way Duran Duran was performing!!!! My Girls were LOSING Their MINDS and ready to put on a MAGNUM Dance Show!!!! My team was getting me POWERED UP!!! & READY to UNLEASH NUCLEAR ENERGY!!!!! I Was so POWERED UP!!! My Energy Level was Running BEYOND MAXIMUM NUCLEAR!!! My Girlfriend Danielle saw an "ATOMIC BOMB" Explode in my eyes then I started to go into a RAGE!!!! I had TEARS Streaming down my face!!!! Then Danielle "SCREAMED" "LEVEL the BUILDING" "NO PRISONERS" Then I "SCREAMED" " DETONATE" all people saw after that was me & my Girls "DESTROYING the Building"!!!!! We used every dance move we had and used our "AERIAL" Moves as well Which sent everyone into "SHOCK"!!!!! The Security Staff gave us room to BURN the BUILDING to the GROUND"!!!! People were having "HEART ATTACKS" watching us put on a Dance Show!!!!! Simon & the other Guys were Giving us "THUMBS UP" and "CHEERING US " for our dance Show!!! It made me and my team SO HONORED to help make their Concert a Success and add more ENERGY to It!!! 😍😍😍❤❤❤❣❣❣💞💞💞🌩🌩🌩⚡⚡⚡🌀🌀🌀 DEEPEST LOVE FOR DURAN DURAN!!!! WHAT A CONCERT!!!!!
He is ok as a perfomer but no he is not underrated. Because he had no duration and "longevity" on his performance level and he didn't improve his stage presence as well.
Don't discredit what Warren brought to the table, heck, even Andy himself wanted to play “Notorious”, “Come undone” and “Ordinary world” songs he had nothing to do with. The reason was that Andy knew that Warren did a stellar job as his replacement in Duran Duran and by playing those songs was giving him a big thumbs up.
What a glorious voice. A young singer nowadays would never be allowed to sing without auto-correct, vocal enhancement, etc., like Simon does here. Such a shame.
They were the first band to show a big video screen in the background during their concerts. A lot of concerts today still use the video screens in the background, except they are on a larger scale due to technologies.
I think this is when Duran Duran was at their best. I'm a long time Duran Duran fan since 1983. Bought almost all their CDs and posters along with picture vinyl records.
Man, Roger Taylor (This Roger Taylor) is such an underrated and underappreciated drummer. I haven't seen mnay who can match his precision. Probably not even the other Roger Taylor (From Queen) is as on point as this one. Love him too though.
I remember watching this live on tv i was 11 then in 1984! What panicked me was seeing all those girls fainting i felt sorry for them just a few lines into the song and bang they go down like a bag of shit! every time i listen to this song live it makes my heart go into a mad flutter and panic i wish i saw them live when i was younger, i have seen them twice live now being older but the atmosphere is totally different now from 1984 luckily I didn’t faint lol duranie forever! ❤️
All those girlies are in their 40's and 50's now. Clearly the atmosphere has changed significantly since then . They would look ridiculous fainting and squeeling like in 1984.
@@JTforeverL but inside we’re still screaming. I saw them in NY at Madison square garden in 84, 87.. smaller venue in 89, John alone in ‘98 and Nick and Simon in 2000, and the reunion at MSG in 2005. We were still screaming but just a lower pitch lol! But I’ll bet when the shows actually start again, after being in lockdowns and quarantines, after we’ve gone down this you tube rabbit hole, there will be some 50 yr old screaming going on!!😊😍😂❤️
Roger is quite the drum demond. He's in perfect sync with Nick on the keyboards. I just love watching him play better than the other drummer that they had during the 90s. :( The couldn't replace Roger. At least not properly anyways. :(
Yes,Roger is a great musician,and of course, an under appreciated drummer! I totally admire him as a complete and talented musician! And DD never sounded better than in this formula(with all the five boys)!!!
I was there and a friend of mine was one of the one's that passed out. We were sardined in there so much that when she passed out she was still standing just moving with the crowd. We got her medical attention and then they let us sit in the seats section.
Omg! That’s not funny! That’s so scary! The band is lucky no one got seriously hurt at those shows. I saw them that tour at Madison Square Garden. We were up in the nosebleeds but it was still crazy! The screaming, crying... My God we loved them so much!! Still do! ❤️
JC Edwards, me too. i wish i could go back to this time, even just for a day. actually, make it a week. lol. i really miss this period of my life. i was young and carefree, playing my DD records, my walls covered with their posters, my collection of DD buttons, the safari style hat (a la "Hungry Like the Wolf) my best Duranie friend and i singing (and screaming) at their concerts, even playing the DD board game. the 80's was such an amazing time to grow up in. they weren't just good times, they were *great* times!...
Alice Stanescu, very true about Simon. he really is multi talented. in addition to singing, playing the harmonica and guitar, Simon is great with the flute as well. he played it on The Chauffeur live in concert, and also when he did the Arcadia album, "So Red the Rose' with Nick and Roger...

Ricordo quando cercavo disperatamente i duran in tv. Questo concerto lo mandavano su un canale che si chiamava "music". E quando lo trasmettevano andavo in estasi. Che bei tempi, ancora l Italia era nostra, ora è totalmente di dominio usa!
