They need to add more songs from Seven and Ragged Tiger album such as this on their set list. That was literally when they reached the height of their career in the 80's. You can see how many people are singing the lyrics word by word to a song that was NEVER on the radio or even had a video made for it.
@@tracymccowan4232 I know I hate hearing the Rio stuff. Unless it was new religion or lonely in your nightmare. I'd like to hear more stuff from big thing, notorious, liberty
Just can't describe how touching to view this song in live version(and it's flawLESS) after all these years...... Time really truly flies... but my teenage era is back while listening to this song( plus all the songs from the first 3 DD albums) !!!!!!!
I was listening to this song on ghetto blaster beside me in the seat of the car shortly before I rolled going around a corner too fast on a dirt road 😂
"Shadows" is a gem from '7 and the Ragged Tiger' I'd adore to hear live! From that same record, if they threw in "Cracks in the Pavement"...oh mercy, that'd be concert heaven! So thankful to have found this video!
The rhythm is a killer and the words go well with the rhythm and chord. While singing in a male choir in college we were explained that when words and chords go well together it is a good declamation.
seven and the ragged tiger tracks must have been a real task live ,they were fantastic labours of love,to play them live to the same quality wasnt really possible...thank the techno gods for midi and samplers that made it a reality ,it was a brilliant album ...and to hear it live was great .they were ahead of the technology and im thankfull they were...so inspiring x
I have been a Duran Duran fans for 30 years, this rehearsal of Shadow on yours Sides is absolutely FANTASTICO..It has been great to hear this live.thanks for posting
I really love the song structure in their older music. They always came up with the greatest choruses where the music suddenly switches almost like a drop in modern dance and techno.
The best part of every DD concert is the Duranies. We have a unique connection to our band and when we are all singing along it is the best thing on Planet Earth.
Amazing, Amazing, amazing!!!! 😎😎 One of those bests Songs from DD. Is there anybody here in 2019 who love this Song?! And where are all the german Fans?!
Most iconic DD song, I have been dreaming to listen this live but never managed. The only regret into this performance is the guitar player who plays a wrong bridge melody @ 1:59
One of the best live concert recordings I have seen. Perfectly caught this great atmosphere. You just wish you were there just like that. And obviously, such a great song, one of my favs.
Seeing DD live is ALWAYS a treat. I've managed it what, 4 times now? I always hope they will sing "Friends of Mine", "Shadows on Your Side" and pretty much all the songs from 7 and The Ragged Tiger but it is SO rare that they do. Thank you for this treat!
A real live recording, exploring the venue's warm atmosphere. A brilliant and raw performance by DD. Excellent video, with excellent audience and band. ❤👍👍👍
DD is the only band I know of who sound better live, especially on certain songs. Love Roger and John. So grateful I saw them live back in the day! However, that loud yelling dude scares me.
True fans they know every word great song its apity they didnt release shadows on your side, this is a great atmosphere hope they play more like these great songs in there Dublin concert what atreat.
mm, great idea, you thought to put the full playlist too; thx a lot for that too (excellent to have a full idea of the show content at a glance) ! -very nice indeed! :)
this is when duran duran should realise from reactions like this, the old way is their best way ;) when it comes to new, more 'all you need is now' and less nile rodgers shite
I do love their old music too, but I kinda disagree. They have to merge their unique sound with a current vibe. As a Registered Nurse, you wouldn't want me to treat you today using '83 medicinal techniques. Things have to progress it's why other bands from the '80s aren't here today. Although I do agree with you that the more they draw from what made them popular rather than collaborating with the the likes of Justin Timberlake the better. All You Need is Now is a much better album than Red Carpet Massacre and Paper Gods because those 2 albums they weren't as true to themselves, everyone had too much say in the music on those albums. I love the new song Invisible, and I hope Future Past will be a top notch album and I hope the Tour will have a good mix of all their work across the decades!
