Quite right. It's the kind of music I'd like to hear in their love gigs instead of mostly '80s radio hits We're missing out on masterpieces written in the 2000s :(
I can honestly say I've been down & I'm still traveling this road that they are singing about. I love these guys May May Lord Savoir Jesus be with with them always
I grew up on these guys. I got my first kiss in 6th grade when I gave my "girlfriend" a cassette of Seven and the Ragged Tiger for her birthday in 1983! LOL! Good times! I read Janet Jackson is in the hall of fame but not these guys? WTF? Listen to this version of The Valley and tell me this isn't Rock and Roll! If they dont make it in there in my life time the world of music is truly a sad place!
I have listened to DD since 82. I always enjoyed the Bass funk like Sound of Thunder,Rio,New Moon, And The Entire Notorious project which by the way, I was blessed to see them in 88. The Valley. From 88 on, I wanted to hear John's dominate funk,Nick's smooth intricacies, Nile Rodgers Chic guitar and Simon's Bowiesque lyrics. Anyone? That is The perfect Sound
It seems their more recent songs are better live than they are on the album. When they're allowed to do their thing they're amazing, but when they have too many cooks in the kitchen with them it kind of ruins what makes them so great.
Completely agree, would love to hear Paper Gods with ''real'' drums and no bass synth, the whole heart and soul of DD is their rhythm section. Nobody ever questioned their songwriting.
Such a great, underrated song. Hey, guys, please, please do a concert with a full orchestra some time. Duran music was just made for that epic sound. This would be an amazing opener 👍
Roger Taylor toca esos tambora sensacional mente Andy guaooo John dios mio nick guaooooo simonnnnnnn dios los bendiga por llevar tanta alegría a nivel mundial 😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍
@@richardjeffreys2437 LOL. I don't even remember leaving that comment so long ago. Still agree with it though and it is still one of my favorite songs of theirs. Even better live. Have a great one!
Fucking cool,I love the beat, rcm has something to revisit, the band sound's great, love the highlites, control, speed, getting a A+,THIS IS FROM the core boyz, keep it hard
Another great, neglected DD song. It craves a much bigger production, though. Hey! Why don’t they do a symphonic album like Sting or George Michael. I think it would suit their songs perfectly - so many of them have such grandeur…
