This film explores with an in-depth look at the world's famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad that travels from Durango to Silverton in the southwestern corner of Colorado. This feature not only captures the railroad's equipment, but also the beauty and majesty of the surrounding scenery. You will see and hear four doubleheaders, lots of smoke, steam and whistles, a meet between two trains at Elk Park. A cab ride in the Durango yard, a near perfect re-creation of the famous Jackson photo at the Highline. Watch 42 different trains filmed with a unique two camera perspective at 40 different locations with two broadcast quality cameras with digital stereo sound. A graphics screen is shown before each scene that shows the type of locomotive(s), grade level and milepost where the scene was filmed. This may very well be one of the most extensive video logs ever attempted of this historical railroad.
