I'm from Durban, been living there for 26 years. Now I'm in Cape town for my honeymoon, this is my first time in Cape town and I cannot believe how clean it is, because I'm so used to dirty Durban. I'm planning to leave kzn to come live in Cape town. OUR COUNTRY IS BEAUTIFUL AND HAS ALOT OF POTENTIAL. BUT ANC IS RUINING OUR COUNTRY.
Don't relocate. Show them that you can do without them, and look at them put their tails underneath... South Africa is our HOME. Show them how one takes care of HIS HOME.
@@mrsampletesterparody4955 Out of curiosity how does that happen when the majority of the population is the youth in South Africa, Mandela for many of the youth is a name and not a person ?
@@dollardog3711 majority youth live in rural places where ppl still don anc t-shirts with mandela face on talking about how he liberated us all and how we'll fall back into apartheid for voting other ppl in
I've lived most of my life in Durban , and I've seen the steady decline spreading over the years , the worst part is it didn't have to be this way . We can only pray the next election rids SA of the ANC !!!
If you go to cape town they also have shacks an it's spotless clean theres no litter and rubbish all over I always say YOU CAN BE POOOR BUT U DONT HAVE TOO BE DIRTY
Why are the "leaders" not asked to comment on these very serious matters? Hiding away like cowards. If you are in a public service position you must be accountable....
It's the people pissing and doing whatever they want, wherever they want. This guy just said it. You can't blame government for everything, blame the people in this case 🤢💩
There is no accountability. Whoever is responsible for this department, should be suspended without pay until they are eventually fired. Because we know the ANC Government will just move them to another department, so they can mess things up there instead.
Sad what is happening! If a small fee is charged for facilities like use of pool, toilets etc and even entrance into parks this money can be used to maintain these areas. Money allocated for maintenance has been stolen and there seems to be nobody overseeing that renovation takes place. In addition people employed sometimes are found sleeping while another is busy. Again nobody is there to oversee the work is done and properly. Is this acceptable! What a disgrace for visitors to be welcomed to such a situation. Situations are becoming intolerable in this beautiful country where accountability is dead!!
There IS money to maintain, look at what Cape Town is doing - all without a levy . That small fee would also just disappear, only solution is to change the leadership and have accountability like with private companies. (That's why so many people get fired at SARS, there is accountability )
Vote DA.. Try new government.. ANC doesn't have anything to offer.. If ANC continues to stay in power the next coming 4 years.. SA will be worser than Zimbabwe.. There won't be grant and all other things any more
This is sad okwangempela. One of the reasons I not only wanna leave Durban but leave the country straight. Everyone is suffering in South Africa but the politicians. And they expect us to continue living our lives as if nothing wrong is happening.
@@karinvn76 I strongly believe if young people from all races and sexualities work together there can be change. June 16, those were high school kids. They switched everything up. I'm not saying we should take violent route but coming together as human beings. And if we still wanna judge each other...let's base on our intentions atleast on life atleast.
@@blaqmaditv I support what you say 100%. Respect is a tool I use in my day to day life. You just hang in there. Don't let the negative chase you away. The future in South Africa is going to need people like you.
No, not at all. Change needs to happen, we need to stand together and work together. Crime is high because the top officials earn way too much. The salary gap is insane, one guys lunch money is another's whole month's salary.
@@brandonrudman8031 as long as ANC in power nothing will change currently SA is already half way to what zimbabwe is and it's only going to deteriorate further down the line
Is the blks going to blame racism for the beaches being not open? Btw its not because of the floods....it was because of the municipalities putting there hands in the cookie jar long before the floods.
Who are the blks? How does racism have anything to do here? It seems like you are looking for an excuse to blame black people when it's the ANC that needs to be blamed
When you sole job is to loot the municipality, have conferences on who's going to lead, infighting and complete disregard for the office you hold, when will you have time to fix and maintain infrastructure or do your job you elected to perform.
But then again we should also consider that the Municipality is faced with the disaster that happened earlier so perhaps these are lower in their priority lists. I’m not condoning the state of affairs but yhooo things have been tough. I don’t care what government we will vote for, they will still struggle picking things up after this messy situation.
We are a small country. That which we live on must be kept clean and green. What about normal, do these politicians not understand. Disrespect of citizens is a no vote in my book.
Now it's security fences (!), a guy with a yellow jacket attracted to his cellphone (of course) and some sort of loose plastic blowing in the wind. Why are your backgrounds always so annoying and distracting. Video Bomb. Back to the studio please.
Please don't lie to us. I was at South Beach last weekend and the police were hard at work. Lots of police including security's that were on the sand. Mxm in terms of the pools I understand but don't lie
Thats great that the cops were doing their job BUT that is not what the news piece is about. Its about the disrepair of toilets, water quality of the ocean due to failure and neglect of the water and sewage infrastructure ( meanwhile ANC and EFF councilors took 70m in bonuses)
