The fact that this entire sub plot was pulled out of thin air when the shopkeep wouldn't go lower on the non-detection amulet is so inspiring. It felt so prepared and purposeful, but also spontaneous. Great episode!

Agreed. And it may be a tool Guy uses to find out how to “manipulate” the players and develop the story in the future.

Great show all! Recaps, at the end or beginning? Yes, definitely in the beginning. However, I don't think it is necessarily needed at the end. I do like favorite parts... And I agree that mine is also the weird jars in their chest.

Another great episode. Keep up the good work guys. I enjoy hearing what the players favourite parts were. I’d love more reviews from Guy, as well as 2 hour episodes of that is an option.

A large bundle of arrows is called a sheaf. Multiple bundles are sheaves. I thought so but googled it just to make sure.

Great session. Sometimes frustrating, as the PCs seem to do unwise things, but they are sticking to their characters.

That stuff leads to a lot of fun. Even when you hear Grace's recap at the start of this episode she is very aware as a player, that making that deal with the vampire is very unwise, but it is fully what Georgie would do to try and protect the prince. It's great role-playing, leads to a lot of consequences the DM can throw at them. D&D should not really be the players making the best optimal decisions, it often works best when the players make less optimal choices, and make the DM's work a bit easier as it gives him more to work with and react to. That's a lot of what you see here, the players working with the DM, by such actions to tell a better story. It's always best when the DM and players work together and not just do the best things they can to make it easy for them to "win." We had a 5 or so episode arc in the Shadowfell because Avery grabbed a strange shiny object (probably the most unwise move this whole campaign). It was a very interesting side quest, that I don't think was planned, but Guy had to improvise and made it work. I'd try as a viewer, and certainly if you were at a table with players like this, try not to see it as frustrating but 2-way story telling. If your mindset is to win, power game, and just make sure you have fun yourself, you might find this style frustrating. But when you are trying to help tell a story, role-playing, and helping everyone at the table have fun, you will likely have way more fun, than if everyone played most optimally, and the DM was left just the throw mobs at the party without much input from the characters' "mistakes."
