Love the Hitchhiker's Guide references! For the record, you can absolutely dodge the ground. You just need to distract yourself appropriately, which is how Arthur Dent learned how to fly. Just need to miss the ground. That third book was weird... Also, dang! This episode was brutal. Can't wait for the next one!

Great episode! I wish Guy was my GM. I misty stepped while invisible in a recent game and casting misty step revealed me as it was considered casting a spell…in hindsight I could have gone invisible after misty stepping but was a spur of the moment decision 😅

OMG this episode was INSANE!! no matter how intensly i enjoy watching this campaign, i do feel that the combats are really difficult/quite deadly... to me it does feel a little bit unbalanced.... but that might just be me.. anyways, great sesh! great roleplaying!! especialy those last tears from georgie, really gave me goodbumps much love from the netherlands

Wow, I have seen you do these skill challenges, and while tense they often get passed them, and like the whole Shadowfell arc, they somehow made it through, but this. They failed, some DMs would pull back try to hand wave a few rules, or you know, roll behind the screen a lie a bit. But you rolled openly which was nice for that first round of arrows against Dorin and Georgie, because I would never have believed you rolled 5 times and only hit once, but then you rolled that second volley, and those hit 3 times. It's sad on one hand as I loved those characters, but it is great when they looked like there was no way out, when the failed too many rolls, and your dice fell poorly for them, you went with it, knowing while it will change the story, that story is still able to go on, and it will be rather interesting the next several episodes to see how.

Well, Guy's plans for this adventure are now all... Um... Toast? Remember, episode 1 started with all four characters at level 20. Be interesting to see how he gets this unstuck, or treat this as an alternative timeline and let it ride?

Holy hell. I wasn't expecting this at all. So, I think that it's would have been pretty easy to get around a huge army unless they had some magic which told them what was around them. So, I just talked to ChatGTP where 350 running horses would be at 100 to 110 decibels. Since they were wanting to invade, I assume they were moving pretty quickly. Since they were making a whole bunch of noise as loud as a chainsaw or rock concert, the party would have easily avoided them. Assuming the got caught with magic, I would have made the centaurs leave since they had no idea where the party went. I know that I don't like the fundamental nature of just rolling a d20 and doing some type of checks with it. I guess that I hate the randomness of DnD because I grew up playing video games. Part of the reason I quit playing Hearthstone is because it was way too random and unfair. Magic the Gathering is totally the opposite where really good cards and skill makes one win matches. The other problem is that I would have had the centaurs roll with a whole bunch of disadvantage since both were further away too. The thing is that I imagine how I would have done things differently, but I am not that creative at all where I can make up worlds and stories from whole cloth. I imagine if this was in the Malazan Universe, it things went really bad like it did, one of them would have opened one of their warrrens or even the imperial warren to escape from the centaurs.
