I would like to see this one hooked up with a Y bracket and two separate hoses. As well as it running on a planer and jointer. Is it strong enough? I mean I will only ever use one tool at a time and use dust ports on the Y bracket but can it keep up with a planer and jointer?

Looking into getting the same dust rite from Rockler. Out of curiosity, when it's running can you hear any vibration noise to ON THE OUTSIDE of wall that is mounted on when it's running? My old one is mounted to an interior wall and you can hear the vibration very loud from the other side of wall... thanks

Not gonna lie, yes. It's not unbearable during normal day activity, but if someone was trying to take a nap in the other room it might be bothersome. I have wondered if putting some foam and rubber washers on the mount and screws might dampen the noise and vibrations but I haven't tried it yet.

@MrLower thank you, that shouldn't be that much of a problem then. My house is a split level so the interior garage wall is shared with the kids play room but the collector I have now can be heard from the kitchen because the vibration is so loud and it's new.. I hate it lol

nice, do you also have a video with a thickness planer running with this thing?
@MrLower
@MrLower 2 года назад
I would love to test that, but unfortunately my thickness planer is an old Delta that just shoots shavings out the back - no port to hook up... on second thought, could be a fun challenge.

Nice video… I was a little confused until about half-way thru when you installed the dust right bag and wondered why you were installing this on a wall: I was thinking this was the "new" 750 model, which is portable unit and what I was searching RU-vid to get others' opinions. I had considered getting this unit, but I really dislike the "porous" bags, but with the super-duper bag version, particularly when I can see you handling it, this would work well. In my case, I am in a basement were all the walls are cinder blocks: a real PITA when attaching stuff to the wall. I am going to seriously consider the 7 5 0 model. I hope there will be a great Black Friday discount. Based on what others say, this is likely to be a hot seller. Still it is nice to see how you installed this in your workshop. It will be encouraging for others considering this unit.

Thanks for the review! Yeah, the upgrade bag is a definite plus. I specifically wanted a wall mount unit to contend with my lack of floor space, but I imagine it would be trivial to build a rolling cart and mount it there. That might actually work out nicely if you have a lot of hose attachments, since you could build holders for them and keep everything tidy. If you do build a cart, the unit + bag is about 4' tall. Best of luck to you!

ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TBU6a5VhK70.html&t you could always make this cart and attach the DC to it.

@@hero2lover16 Brilliant! That's exactly what I was thinking
@thomashverring9484
@thomashverring9484 3 года назад
If I understand it correctly, it's pretty easy to take the unit off the wall and put it on a cart? Then it can hang on the wall and be used for whatever standard tools are close by, and then be taken down off the wall and put on the cart to be mobile. Or am I wrong? Isn't it just hanging on that metal bracket thingy?
@MrLower
@MrLower 3 года назад
@@thomashverring9484 yes, it hangs from the metal bracket - basically a French cleat. If you had (or made) a second bracket for a mobile station, yes you could easily transfer between the wall and a mobile station. I'm not a big guy and that unit was pretty easy to lift 5' off the ground (the handle helps a lot)

Good video! How wide is this unit from the edge of the motor to the hose port?
@MrLower
@MrLower 2 года назад
16" wide from motor to port, but you'll need more than that for the hose and any fittings you use.

You need a particle separator inline as well.

@joeprior7311 I have a 1350 cfm from Grizzly I am in the process of converting to a two stage.
@jasonbarile2014
@jasonbarile2014 3 года назад
Are you using it on the same 20 amp circuit as the table saw?
@MrLower
@MrLower 3 года назад
No, I needed an outlet on that wall anyway before finishing it, so I had my electrician run two separate 20a circuits to a 2-gang outlet for this exact purpose. However, I have tested both machines on the same circuit and aside from a little additional sluggishness on startup they can both run fine. Just make sure not to start both machines up at the same time since that's the biggest power draw. Also, I have a new saw, and older motors may draw more power. YMMV.
@jasonbarile2014
@jasonbarile2014 3 года назад
@@MrLower Thanks much! Sounds like a separate circuit is probably the better way to go just in case. Thanks again for the helpful video!

@@jasonbarile2014 I have the same Dust Right 650, and was running my router off of the same extension cord and wall socket. That worked until it didn’t! I had to replace the power strip where I divided the tools. Better to learn it through that loss than either of the big ticket items. Now, I separate my Dust Right from all other tools.

Just out of curiosity, is the outlet 4 inches also? Can one use a piece of hose over the outlet port to vent outside, instead?
@MrLower
@MrLower 3 года назад
Great question! The outlet measures 5" o/d. but there is also a small flange to it pushing the diameter to about 5-1/16". I suppose one could conceivably port to the outside, though you may also want to consider taking the same precautions against animal entry as you would with an exterior dryer vent.
@Battesbooksandhooks
@Battesbooksandhooks 3 года назад
It is not a 4 inch
@Golfexpertbelieveme
@Golfexpertbelieveme 3 года назад
I don’t think you can filter to the outside cause it won’t blow hard enough past the outlet.
@justinmeyer479
@justinmeyer479 3 года назад
@@MrLower Thanks! I was thinking this might be a good unit for cross-cut/ SCMS and floor sweep dust collection. With all the fines involved I don't think the filter bag would be quite enough so I will probably find a short length of 5/6 inch flex hose and adapt it to the outlet and through-wall exhaust port (with flapper and screen) if I go this route in the spring. Thanks, again for the video!
@justinmeyer479
@justinmeyer479 3 года назад
@@Golfexpertbelieveme Thanks for taking the time to reply, but I'm a little confused by your answer...how would a length of flex hose impede the outlet from either going directly outside or to a filter...it would be just like a length of hose on the inlet side, wouldn't it? (Before or after the impeller, all flow restrictions have some innate value that does not change.)

How loud is that motor when running?
@MrLower
@MrLower 3 года назад
I haven't measured it, but it ain't quiet. Not as loud as the table saw itself, but you definitely won't be running it after quiet hours if there's a bedroom on the other side of the wall.
@Battesbooksandhooks
@Battesbooksandhooks 3 года назад
According to Rockler 80 to 85 decibels

Mr Lower I don’t understand the difference between the 30 µm and 5 µm bag. So the 30 µm bag lets more dust escape from it out into the room? Also is there any kind of filter that you have to clean like on most shop vacs?
@MrLower
@MrLower 3 года назад
Basically the fabric of the bag acts like a filter. The thinner material of the 30 micron bag will filter most particles, but anything smaller than 30 microns will not get trapped and blow back out into the air. The 5 micron filter is a thicker material, and will trap particles down to 5 microns in size. They do sell a big canister-looking filter accessory that filters down to 1 micron, but that costs just as much as the unit itself and I don't experience any problems with the 5 micron bag which is much more affordable.
