@@dextersynesterformerlysorb5334 Because of Vince and what do we need to fill up the fridge? Aaaaah, Money.... he had to or else he would be shitcanned ans since leaving wcw going back wasnt an option. He took Chicken Shit and made Chicken Salad out of it. Goldust was... welll... it was what it was but people will always remember that character and hall of fame is in the future for him... has to be...
@@princealbertzconsidering Roman already took a shot at him on twitter👀.Also to bad Dusty passed away because he could have interfered in his match and helped Cody win and the emotional nature would been awesome🥺
WCW dropped the ball, but GoldDust was actually a superstar in the WWE during the early-mid 90s. Gold Dust was a big deal. Kids at achool used to do that "Gooooold Dust" *Bite* lmao......
It's not crazy, they're brothers, both took some stuff from their dad Dusty (bleached hair, Americana, etc). Nothing crazy about it, just two sons trying to emulate their dad.
@@jonathanturbide2232 I know their bro’s, but it’s still crazy to me he tried it and it didn’t work out for Dustin, but now after a looong career, Cody pulled it off and it stuck to make him such a huge star. Never thought in my entire life, it be a time in history, where ppl be wanting Cody Rhodes more than the ROCK at wrestlemania. That’s nothing you expect from dark haired Cody or stardust lol 😂
@@krissanders987it's all about timing. What's actually crazy was how they tried this gimmick with Cody years ago as Dashing Cody Rhodes and it didn't work for the time and then gave him the same fate as his brother and made him Star dust haha. The difference is, Dustin embraced Goldust and eventually found big success with it. Especially the Goldust and Booker tag team.
That was a very different look for Dustin. He looks like a high school quarterback. I can also see the resemblance between him, Cody and Dusty in this video.
He was only 21 in 91, and I heard this conspiracy theory the other day which has me fascinated being that Dusty is actually Cody’s grandfather and Dustin is Cody’s dad. Reason for the fraud being Dustin was only 15 impregnating a woman. I doubt it’s real, but the resemblance is uncanny.
If that man had that song coming out in 1991... The landscape of wrestling would have changed... Dustin was a solid up and comer at the time... He had the talent, drive, and charisma. No one believed in him except his father...
@theghostreckon69420 Uh? That's such a weird take, wtf?? In 95 Dustin got fired from WCW and after months of staying at home he realized that he needed to get away as far as possible from being Dusty's son, mainly because him and Dusty weren't talking anymore in real life, that's why he accepted to be Goldust -- it helped him in being something other than Dusty's kid, and it saved his career, without Goldust he would have never lasted this long in the business.
@@jonathanturbide2232Nevermind, just a common wrestling historian who grew up in the 2000's and thinks he knows everything about wrestling because some RU-vidr told him things.
might have alot to do with the baldness and one spending most of his career with a paintjob on his face and wearing a beanie over his eyebrows most of the times these days.
So! I think it's awesome you've seen all three of their careers. It's like that now with me watching the Usos or Bron Breaker. I got to see later part of their fathers years and, their years.
Yes! Everytime I hear kingdom it gives me the 90'S WCW vibe! How amazing this song really fit in that era back in 1991, it would had been even EPIC in WCW Saturday Night that started in 92' on TBS! That's where I get the vibe the most! Thanks for the video!
@@allendepresidente1970well they’re half brothers. I honestly never saw a resemblance until Cody dyed his hair blonde and I saw pictures of young Dustin Rhodes. I think part of it is the age gap. I’m pretty sure Dustin is 16 years older than Cody
@@nodazcl didn't you just cut out enough of the beginning so that the 'woah' would sync up? lol, still a fun edit, but you know exactly why it's synced ;) (again, don't get me wrong, I like your edit)
I saw Dustin wrestle as a rookie back in the late '80's in the wwe at MSG...The guy next to me had his son with him, and he was disappointed because he thought it was supposed to be Dusty Rhodes....I remember thinking, give the guy a chance. That was like 35 or 36 years ago.....Crazy.
Man, it’s a shame we never got to see this Dustin on the biggest stage. That said, Goldust is also an amazing and iconic character, so it would have been a shame to miss out on that too.
With the enormous success of Dusty and Cody, I sometimes forget what a stellar career Dustin had. He stands alongside DiBiase, Hall, Arn, Owen and Davey as one of the greatest performers never to hold a major world title.
