Mick Foley, in his book could tell that Kane would be laughing because his shoulders would always shake. Also, everyone of the older guys would try and crack up Taker whenever they could.
@@SuperSed-gt5hq yeah because it was bad timing. The fans didn't want to boo him and it didn't get him anywhere. It's partially WWF's fault too because they didn't build up good Faces against the newly heel Steve. But yeah Austin is right to regret turning heel because it was simply unnecessary.
Taker said that Vince and the whole locker room for a period was on a mission to see who's gonna break him first. I wish Taker was still active today to see if Sami Zayn stands a chance to do so.
@@jaybee5315Sami zayn isn’t even funny considering how humour was back in the day what Sami does is just childish it’s not something that would even come close to breaking taker remember Mark is from Texas as well he solid stiff MF he ain’t that easy
@@Newyorkknicks7575 Assuming he's talking about Austin turning on WWF and turning heel, no it wasn't because McMahon is talking about going into the Invasion PPV, which is where Austin turned.
After that camera cut they all must have been laughing their asses off. I remember Kurt Angle said during this time that he and Steve couldn't stop laughing during the cowboy hat scene and Vince threatened to fine them 10 thousand dollars if they couldn't stop laughing.
Yeah Kurt actually did get fine I can't remember the most current interview he did within the last 6 months to a year but he did State exactly how much he got fined because he just didn't give a f*** that day.
"I'm not gonna push around this guy who could probably beat the shit out of me in a shoot, but I'm totally gonna push around this guy who could DEFINITELY beat the shit out of me in a shoot."
Seraphina you probably don't realise how good of a wrestler Austin himself is. I'm not knocking down Kurt but Austin is right up there with Bret, Curt, Kurt, Benoit etc....
@@kumarneelotpal7924 I don't think you appreciate the difference between an Olympic gold medalist and a normal person, and just how easily an Olympic gold medalist could fuck someone up.
What an era that was. The character storywriting was peak! Where else can you find such a unique dynamic where 5 characters all have an iconic history with another and don't feel out of place when put together in a segment like this? Pure gold
I gave you your 100th like because obviously we both grew up in that era. These were the top dogs when I was growing up. Not a lot of people even remember it anymore lol
They probably did a break a couple times. These segments were usually prerecorded & then just played to the audience as if it’s happening in real time. There are some outtakes on YT, & they’re hilarious
Can’t break the Taker. DX members said they would tell jokes during matches with the Undertaker trying to get him to break character. They never were able to get him to break.
He was funny back in WCW and ECW days. Outwardly so. He just had to tone it down because he was playing a badass. I feel like he was imitating the real Mark Calloway as Stone Cold because when he went American Badass they sounded pretty much the same.
I remember this. I specifically remember Taker's reaction to Austin's nonsense. I love it when he said "Why don't you just let me and Kane handle it?" and then telling Vince "What are you going to do with this?" as he pointed to Austin 🤣 Even Jericho almost cracked during the segment.
This segment never gets old between Stone Cold trolling Undertaker backstage with Kane, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and Vince McMahon from the early 2001. 😂😂
This was such a good segment… as a kid I just thought Austin was funny as hell here… but now I can appreciate Taker trying to hold his laughter in🤣… thank you for posting
They just told him to be who he was in real life. Austin occasionally pulled pranks in the ring for funnies. They were having fun in that Era and it shows.
This was for me the golden age of wrestling. This era had so many great characters like Austin, Rock, Hogan, HBK well basically the whole roster was awesome
@@rexmoore8394 I trust you bro. Last time I watched wrestling I was 10yrs old and G.W. Bush was on his first term. Now I watch UFC so still enjoy wacting dudes in speedos beating eachother. No homo bro.
