PLEASE NOTE THESE VIDEOS ARE A HOBBY OF MINE TO SHOW SOME LOVE CLICK THE LIKE MAKES ME WANT TO MAKE MORE :)
In this video I sandblast (Dustless blasting NOT mess less blasting). To remove the paint from the stone on the front of this property.
I have done lots of these and made every possible mistake known its what you do to adapt and overcome that tests the skills :) This is why I know the windows doors etc need masking up or not and how much they need.
This job Windows and door is getting replaced.
FAQ's
I will do a video of my setup/rig soon as I get my build blast pot protected my plan is to be able to offer these for sale one day and don't want to show my idea until its protected :)
pipes wires windows etc are all fine the way I do things :)
cement pointing will only need replacing if its poor and needs attention anyway the cement won't be affected if it's good.
The bricks won't need sealing after the process this is personal choice if you want to try an keep it clean for as long as possible
It dose not make a 4" clay brick turn into a sponge after the process.
Yes its abrasive and it will remove a part of the face this will not affect the performance of the brick but will change its appearance hence me doing a blend to take your eye off the definite line once finished.
Please feel free to have a snoop through my other videos maybe worth a subscribe or a like???
Media used was crushed glass grade fine

Hello, impressed with the effectiveness of your power washing getting all the old paint removed effortlessly. Wouldn’t it have been more prudent to start at the top working your way to the bottom. This way all the gunk flows to the bottom and make work easier? Also, can you share some technical details? Was it a mix of hot/ cold water and chemicals? There was a smaller hose attached. Was it used for the chemical distribution? How much pressure was being emitted?
@Mobileblaster
@Mobileblaster 3 года назад
Hi and thx this is not a presure washer or chemical cleaning method well the power washer is used at the end to clean the wast media up. This is sand blasting the little line is injecting water in the air and media stream to suppress the dust the water is only used for this reason.

@@Mobileblaster Thank you for your speedy reply! Admire the concept used and your time and effort in bringing this to our attention. It is definitely an effective and preferred method definitely. Hopefully, people will choose to use this method before repainting or not. Saw the beauty of the stonework after cleaning that house that renders repainting unnecessary. Have to check if method used here in the US. Keep up the good work! Best of luck!

Not worth buying for 1 job mate would be cheaper just getting a pro in even with renting normally still works out cheaper to get a pro in because if you have no experience your going to waste alot of media and the cost in that could pay for it doing no hassle 👌

Would your dustless sandblasting work on the staining/mildew on that little front wall? I see a lot of older Georgian estates and manors with stained/mildewed/moss covered balustrades, steps, etc... and it makes the house look horrible. You also see it on a lot of Chateau in France. Can this method clean all that old ugly staining (I guess that's what it's called)?

I see this time your dustless blasting is this quicker than dry blasting? Also is the clean up quicker with dustless than with sand? Have you thought of an extendable pressure washer lance they are about £150 we can reach gutter hight from the ground level with ours.
@Mobileblaster
@Mobileblaster 2 года назад
Wet blasting is only adding water to suppress the dust it don't speed things up possibly makes things slower but on residential it's a must that I do something for dust control. And yeah I've got 1 but find it hard to remember to load it in the van also I don't really need pressure washer I need volume of water to get the waste media to ground. The clean up process is around = yeah wet it's hard to move and scope up etc but on the flip of the coin dry I would be chasing it down 2 or maybe 3 streets to sweep up. So time wise both takes about the same just that wet keeps it more local to the job.
