He actually explained that this isn’t his vehicle. They provided the SUV after they set it up with all the cameras and Dusty just drove it around. Dusty actually drives a Toyota Tacoma and I wanna say an older model Camry. He does describe it as somewhat of a beater.
Aaron the two standups you mentioned were the ones I remember best from my childhood. The single bit of standup comedy most often repeated in my family is “What is he doing? The one-cheek-slide-around?”
Aaron & Dusty should have their own food review show! Loved it! Having those enzymes in his pocket was classic Dusty😂😂 So happy to find this…especially now that we are being short changed with Nateland cutting it’s format. We need more, not less of these guys!!
Hilarious watch. Great banter. You guys could easily do a road trip series where you go to various places and check out the local landmarks, eateries, etc
aaron mentioned brian regan. i remembered brian from the 80s and i was staying in nashville in the late 90s and my buddy took me to my first comedy club and brian regan just happened to be headlining that night. it was awesome. i have always loved brian regan.
I moved here in 2010 and worked at the Marriott on West End. When people came here, they'd ask what food Nashville is famous for, and I never really had an answer. Then, all of a sudden, in maybe 2012/2013, it became Nashville Hot Chicken. Everyone started asking about it, and it hasn't seemed to have slowed down since. I think that was right around the time Hattie B's started getting super popular.
Not gonna lie I've seen this guy on RU-vid shorts doing standup but I would love a series of him doing shit like this. Definitely kept me watching. I could see him on a network doing a show
Very impressive Aaron! I've done the "hot ones" gauntlet and Hattie B's "shut the cluck up", but when I was in Nashville this past November and had Party Fowl's 'poultrygeist', it was SIGNIFICANTLY hotter than any hot chicken I've ever had. I don't know how you had a set that evening. It would be too similar to Sean Evan's 'hot ones', but having the Nateland crew run the Party Fowl gauntlet would be must see.
I'm listening to older versions of the podcast around mid summer of 2019. You were on an all veggie diet, so it's good to see you apparently got your digestive system in a better place. We're havin' a good time!
I’m a brand new grandmother myself. The family keeps harassing me with “What’s your Grandma name?” People keep suggesting things like MeeMaw, MiMi, GiGi, Nanna, and such. I guess it’s down to Granny or Boozy. We’ll see what the kid wants to call me.
Aaron, Donar is a Halifax invention. That's the other side of Canada, the east coast. The reason Donar is in Alberta is because alot of Maritimers (that's what we call ourself over here on the east coast) moved to Alberta to work the oil fields. Hopefully your donar was good either way. Onion, tomato, sauce, meat, bread. NO lettuce! I've never heard of you guys but: You guys have good chemistry, You're pretty funny, Well spoken. Great at holding conversation. Imma check out the pod cast.
Hattie B's Shut the Cluck up chicken is one of the hotter ones I tried in Nashville when I visited. While hot, it was really good chicken, I was smart and got the Nashville hot with a plate, and they let me get a single thick tender of the Shut the cluck up, and it was pretty insane!
Yeah. I thought Hattie B’s was the do all, end all. Nashville pride of Hot Chicken. I will say Shut The Cluck Up is very hot. It doesn’t taste great, way too much into peppers and not flavor. Similar to doing the Paqui one chip challenge
