Many dutch emergency vehicles are driving with lights and sirens in Amsterdam - The Netherlands.
They drive with ill children and children with a handicap or with a chronicle desease to a zoo in Amsterdam and back home so they forget their disability for a day.

Since I grew up in the Us where our sirens don't sound anything like this, hearing this many Dutch sirens at one time sounds really strange to me for some reason. Some of them, like the ambulances, even sound a little musical.

Bedankt voor je compliment. Op 3:35 zie je één van de vele E-klasse ambulances die de regio Utrecht telt. Deze ambulances hebben de rijeigenschappen van een personenwagen en zijn daarom erg handig in de drukke stad. Bijna elke sirene is anders: de ene is net wat sneller, andere net wat hogere toon en de andere heeft een luchthoorn erdoor.

These ambulances handle like a regular car and therefor are very handy navigating through the busy city centre. Almost every siren is different: one is just a tad faster than the other, some have just a slighly higher pitch and another one also uses airhorns in addition to the regular siren.

@@singularity6305 Two-tones aren't. The three-tone sirens were there for directionality and were great in determining where the vehicle would come from. Ambulances were thus the only one to have 'em. It's just small tolerances in electronic components and the different controllers that make up for the differences (even though that is a bit of surprise, with all the very tightly controlled microcontroller-controlled stuff inside everything these days.

+Willem II - Hi Willem; you're quite right, I think a lot of people's reactions to these sirens are based on their cultural upbringing. One gets used to what one is exposed to. Some of the UK sirens are simple, boring two-tone jobs; others appear to have been bought as a job-lot from THE DONALD-land - really grotesque noises, but if they get drivers' attention then they've succeeded in their purpose. In the UK, the police, ambulance and fire service vehicles have a range of 3 sirens (wail, yelp and phaser), with 2 or 3 tone sirens like in the Netherlands now not in existance, only found on discontinued older emergency vehicles before electronic sirens were introduced - so to me, these two tones sound rather funny

@Tails san It's a van of the "Koninklijke Marechaussee". It is the military police (or gendarmerie) of the Netherlands, so indeed not the regular police😊

@Tails san They usually use blue lights and sirens like other emergency services, but all the emergency services in the Netherlands also have yellow/orange lights which they can use when they are positioned on an unsafe place, so they have both blue and yellow lights, but only the blue lights are used in an emergency!

@Tails san A short summary: Orange lights: Used to indicate danger (such as a slow moving transport). These are used by a lot of companies en services like special transports and road service. They haven't got right of way. Blue lights (+sirens): Only used by emergency services. They give them the right of way. Most emergency services have both orange and blue lights. I'm not sure if it will happen this year because of COVID. It's called 'kinderbeestfeest' the old name is 'dreamnight'. It's happening every year in Amsterdam.

+Chaos Zombie999 blue is police etc. yellow is be alert. there is a vehicle parked here. they use it mostly in night or mist when there is a accident on a highway

I dont think thats what they're used for. In fact ive never ever seen a police jetski its probably for rotterdams port or something to get to a boat if necessary
