How do you call this Filipino breakfast? Anyway, it will be lots of fun because my Dutch family will try a special Filipino breakfast today early morning in the Netherlands...
This is a special Pinoy Planet episode Leading up to the big day with the Boodle fight!
At 7am I will cook a really nice Pinoy breakfast with Sinangag, fried egg, Longganisa and corned beef…how will the Dutch family members react??? Will they like this food from the Philippines?

When you have a combination, we call it Comsilog. Corned beef is usually called carne-Norte. I believe the literal translation is meat from the north or northern meat. Great job!

Also next time a marinated bangus or any kind of fish with vinegar and garlic small salt and powder pepper with garlic rice and fried egg also a very delicious pinoy breakfast.

We also add chopped cube potatoes in our corned beef just so it doesn't look like it came from a can. 😂 It also adds a different taste and texture to it.

Hi..tustado mo ung bawang sa sinangag bago mo lagay ung kanin tas haluin mong mabuti ung kanin at bawang pra mas lumasa ung bawang sa kanin tas mas masarap pag nagiba na ng kulay ung kanin naglight brown na sarappp lagay kang asin haluin mo ulit dagdagan mo pra masarap..

My kids' favorite is tuna with egg. Just scramble some eggs, then add tuna flakes from a can. Add spices like garlic and onions. 😊🇵🇭

The "silogs" define the quintessential Filipino breakfast. "Silogs", a portmanteau of the words "sinangag (Filipino styled fried rice) and " itlog" (fried egg, typicall The variety of the Filipino "silog" breakfast includes TAPSILOG = tapa (Filipino styled fried or cured beef) TOCILOG = tocino (Filipino sweet cured ham LONGSILOG = Longganisa (Filipino styled Spanish sausage) BANGSILOG = Bangus (Filipino fried milk fish) plus many more silogs like danggit, hotdog, fried chicken The common or the uniting theme to all these Filipino breakfast would therefore be the fried rice and the fried egg. SI = sinangag (Filipino styled fried rice) LOG = Fried egg either styled in sunny side up, scrambled, over easy.

I always have cornsilog all the time. I've eaten all the silogs but now stick to my all time favorite. I just love carne norte, i even eat breakfast at jollibee with my fave cornsilog lots of time.

Actually it is LONGANIZA (Spanish recipe) Longanisa 🇵🇭, then Corned Beef (Carne Norte.. Spanish) Karne Norte 🇵🇭.. Now U can call that "CORN-LONG-SI-LOG" Breakfast, even @ BRUNCH, or DINNER also applicable.. 💕🇵🇭

If you want eat like a Filipino, its not just about food, its also about how you serve it. You just have to put each food in the different plate/bowl at the center of the table and you give each person an empty plate, spoon and fork. You do not have to divide each food per plate because it is considered rude for it means you do not trust them to divide the food amongst. Also do not forget about the condiments like vinegars and soysauce with chilis.
