Still the best Dixieland band I have ever heard ever since I was only 16! DSC Band"s Doctor Jazz with, even so brilliant, singer Neva Raphaello is getting me still excited!
Well, there's this. Duke Ellington from way back in 1929. Can't beat THIS for virtuosity and clever arranging. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QX9Mi0HM2zA.html
It was an Olympic record time for the 'Tiger Rag' back then. It wasn't beaten for another 12 years, and there is some controversy (some allegations of steroid abuse) by the new winner.
+Jan Kowalski I admit, DSW band are great artists. Super talent! But of course you jest, the Dutch did not invent dixieland, lol. Dixieland started in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century. The Dutch, just like the Chinese are great copiers of American music. (no, I did not mean the Chinese copied our music, just that they copy everything, lol)
