We are very interested to see what types of investments Disney makes into the parks. We read an article on Orange County Register (Disneyland area) and it stated that they are perusing the plans to build an east garage near Interstate 5. We would love to see this and maybe extending Downtown Disney east and purchasing the GardenWalk and converting that to Downtown Disney. Then this would lead people to a brand new third gate at the Toy Story parking lot. The two of us don't think Disney is going to follow those Disneyland Forward plans exactly, it was more about selling the idea. New entry gates are needed badly and we would love to see the scanners used at security. Such a painful process to get in. Maybe there is a method to this madness as we rarely leave the park since security is such a pain. Our views and subscribers have been down since the beginning of the year but RPM is much so much better than last year.
Oh yes omg if they could take over GardenWalk that would be fabulous. I have no idea what kind of logistics would go into that, but I'm totally buying the vision you're selling. I haven't been following the Disneyland Forward stuff super closely, but yeah I totally get what you're saying about selling the overall vision rather than nitpicky specifics. Good point about security haha. I was thinking about attempting a split stay between Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel, in which case under normal circumstances for that distance I would just move my own things (like if I was changing hotels in New York the same distance apart, I would easily just walk my own luggage over). But given the security ordeal, I guess that's why Disney's bell services would move my luggage for me, haha (I'd tip of course!). Congrats on the RPM! That's huge!
@@PixieDustPhD Thanks! Walking to the GCH from the DLH is super easy and you can completely avoid security. If you look at the satellite image, you walk to the Pixar Place, then cross the street to the GCH. Maybe a 5 minute walk.
