Beautiful animals . My three year old female Nicaraguan boa is 5'2". Compared to Ball Pythons, Dwarf boa are definitely a better choice. More interactive and no hunger strikes.
Great ending showing and talking about how wonderful Pearl Island Boas are! Had a choice between Tarahumara or a Pearl Island 2 years ago , and I picked the Pearl Island! SO GLAD I DID, thanks to you! Thank you for all you do for all us boa lovers!
The Pearl Island seems interesting, like a bigger Rainbow Boa, that looks more like a Retic than a Boa. The head shape is definitely more python like vs the angular head of a BI/BC or the pointy head of a Rainbow boa. I just got a Colombian Rainbow Boa a month ago and he's been great, super chill, very curious, eats like a champ, sheds like a champ. Was very tempted today at an expo by a beautiful Leopard morph Nicaraguan, that same vendor also had a couple of IMGs but they're still VERY pricey boas.
I love dwarf boas! Tarahumara is the only one I haven't tried yet. I love the different personalities between the Belize city Belize, crawl cay, & caulker cay
Beautiful ❤ wonderful presentation. It would be nice to see these available more readily because too many people go into a pet store and buy a red tail boa hoping it won't get as big and end up having to find a home for it
Great animals! Do you have any Sonorans? If not is this because the Tarahumara Mountain species are so similar, both being northerly dwarf Sigma species?
Hi Brian, I’m really interested in Boas. The one thing that concerns me is getting an adult out of its enclosure. Do you have videos that show that first pick up. I’ve seen the aggro boas ones but what about for a docile boa. Is it the same, or can you just reach in with some?
any idea how long a mixxed boa will get? shes a hog island hypo het sunglow, so i assume that means part hog island and i know they stay small but its a female and also shes just over 4 feet and is 2 years old
@BrianBoas I have a dwarf boa but no idea what variety!! I think she's only 18 months old or so and don't want to up her feed size to soon despite what the shop told me. I'm feeding her once a week small dead mice. I feel having watched you this is too frequent. She has never left any obvious poo in her set up and I've had her 10 weeks. So much to learn!
