Really impressive Dweeb, especially under the pressure of recording. I saw recently that you won 30 games on Channel 5's 100% quiz in the late 90s. You can see your excellent general knowledge in solving this puzzle.

Fun to watch. I do the Guardian Quiptic and the easy Cryptics, and have trouble with even those, even with help from a thesaurus.

Loved the explanations. Honestly in half an hour I would have got about 4 of those. Maybe with some letters finally placed, I may have got 10 in an hour. Finish it though? Never. Well done, very impressive

Really enjoyed this, David, as fun as Cracking The Cryptic! During the first Covid lockdown, I took up cryptic crosswords as a new hobby, congruent with my Scrabble activities, with the help of Tim Moorey’s handy book, ‘How To Crack Cryptic Crosswords’. I have solved the less intimidating and more accessible Times Quick Cryptic Crossword, published on weekdays on a 13 * 13 grid, but at best can only solve about 2 clues in the full Times Crossword! As I can see from this presentation, the fuller crossword requries knowledge of obscurer words and synonyms, and the ability to solve more complex clues. Any tips on making the transition fron Quick to Full? Many thanks.
