He feels fulfilled with her so he no longer has the desire to get attention. Also he feels like this is his family so he is more than happy to let them have their time to shine.
I know the reason Michael's hair is greying is because Steve Carell did the part on short notice, but I like the in-universe explanation that now that he has a family, he's happier with his self-image and doesn't feel the need to dye his hair anymore.
Weird how no one is mentioning the growth between Angela and Phyllis. They were one of the biggest rivalries in The Office throughout the whole show and it’s so sweet how Phyllis carries her to the altar at the end. Very full circle and nice.
Eleanore Zack and what even sweeter is that Angela was actually happy to accept the hug, like if this happened during seasons 1-8 she would have not accepted the hug at all.
I think it is supposed to be called „bester Mensch“ which means best human and they probably didn’t or didn’t want to translate it correctly because there is no such thing as bestisch in German and in fact there isn’t even „bester Mensch“ in German You can say that but its no term for what Michael is supposed to be
The thing I love about Dwight, he's proud of his weirdness. He's happy to tell you to grab a hook and hall your hay to the table. And you'll do it too. Because you love him. ❤
I just noticed that Philip got younger and smaller than he was in the the previous episode, which takes place one year earlier. Do Schrute babies age backwards? Is that how the youngest Schrute child raises all the others?
just watching this clip, you could tell that the cast really loved each other. Angela and Phyllis' hug, Angela's and Kevin's fistbump...just the hugs and looks and knowing it was all coming to an end. Truly remarkable cast from A to Z.
I wonder if they were able to get through one take without laughing or if it took multiple. I would have lost it and bursted out laughing. There were so many hilarious things just in this scene.
I feel like all the actors filming the finale were feeling bittersweet. Sure, there were funny things in this episode but everyone knew that this was their last time all together and deep inside, a lot of sad emotions to process.
I swear this episode felt like they weren’t in character, it was just the actors themselves filming the office one last time. The wedding hits different.
@@zoefang4563 "Phyllis and Angela" together because they were often shown feuding with each other in a toxic professionnal relationship at the beginning of the show.
@@yannickdrmda5295 Well, I don't think you should love it. I know it works because it's an intentionally emotional episode. But they never, ever, showed any type of actual bonding between Phyllis and Angela. She carrying her on her wedding might be cute if you're into that, but it's completely out of character. As it usually happens in most final episodes, I may add.
Angela and Dwight were my favorite couple then Michael and Holly and finally Jim and Pam. I just really love the development and growth of the characters. The fact that Angela was rude and yelling at Phyllis and then realizes her old ways and apologizes is just beautiful character development. I love the friendship that formed between Jim and Dwight. This is a great show.
Inviting Michael to Dwight's wedding is one of the sweetest--or should I say THE sweetest thing Jim has done for Dwight. He knows how much Michael means to him.
Am I the only one that thinks that getting married while standing in your grave is oddly sweet and romantic? And I kind of want to do it at my own wedding someday.
It is incredibly beautiful. It represents TOTAL surrender to one another and the only way that bond can ever be broken is death. I wish more people would think of marriage this way and their commitment to each other this way. Marriage isn't easy, you have to work on it every day.
"Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. For lo, the winter is passed. The rain is over and gone. The time of singing has come and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. Let me see your face. Let me hear your voice for your voice is sweet and your face is comely." - Ashton Kutcher, 2013
When I watched this final episode, for the first time, intellectually I knew it was the last episode. I knew we weren’t going to see these characters again. And I laughed and smiled and my heart was warm when Michael Scott made his return. But for some reason, watching Angela walk (or be carried if you will) down the aisle to Sweet Child of mine, that’s when it really hit me, “oh my God we’re about to never see these characters again”, and it hit me right smack in the feels.
Michael really matured he seems less irritated since marrying Holly having four children and moving to Boulder, Colorado. They're the perfect couple wish we could of seen their wedding too.
They are standing in their own graves as a reminder that this is the only escape for what they are about to do. This is actually so beautiful and everyone should have that attitude.
I must be the only one seeing this for the first time. i have been living in the middle east for nearly 22 years now and have missed all tv entertainment in all aspects. I only discovered the Office US version about a month ago. I find myself laughing uncontrollably here at my laptop in my home. All my friends say the British version is the funniest, but I must disagree. I laugh much harder at the US version and Dwight, Creed and Michael are just fantastic characters.............This scene was frigin hilarious..................standing in their shallow graves, sweet child of mine entre, Kevins ridiculous reading with Comely over the face...............
I love how Dwight makes the hay bale dragging is a treat His voice has the cadence of a flight attendant announcing safety instructions and duty free onboard 😂
Awww, that was the cutest moment when Jim said “Best prank ever!” bc him n Dwight was somewhat dysfunctional at times but, they really did cared about each other, despite that..! TRUE FRIENDS af!❤️❤️
I just wanna point out how Oscar was the one that carried Angela's kid down the isle. Despite him being gay and her hating him for practically the entire show for that, he was the one who got to carry her child on her wedding day. Might be thinking too deep into it but it's still Angela's character development in my opinion.
You can tell it really hurt Dwight initially that Jim couldn’t be his best man. And seeing how these characters interact with each other now, they’ve really grown and come a long way
Aunt Shirley : So when's the wedding? Angela Martin-Lipton : Actually we are just friends. Aunt Shirley : That's what Mose said about his lady scarecrow, and look what he did to that poor thing.
Angela honestly had one of the best character developments. She goes from a cold and distant employee to learning humility and caring for others. She always did people wrong. Such as cheating on Andy and Dwight with one another and talking down on her fellow workers. She then gets cheated on while in a marriage and she learns to better bond with her workers. Have fun with your intercourses Mrs. Schrute.
