Fully agree, dude had major points and most of it was making it feel authentic. The last pod showed the forced nature of making it a basketball pod. Even in niche-ing down basketball should only be done in-season. I like the more sporadic, social commentary esque aspect of the pod. But some their best episodes are just them being the bros.

Y'all know a lot of European countries have shorter work weeks and daily hours? This makes people happier and more productive and more willing to work. Allows people to actually have lives. Not to mention they also get way more benefits. Just because we live in America doesn't mean our system of work is great, shit for general workers has barely changed for like the past 100 years.

As a heavily critical Spurs fan, I’m probably the minority in terms of whether he’s a new GOAT or anything. He has a ridiculous frame to be great but the Spurs are try hard for him to be a wing when he’s at his best when he match up against 5. Put him at 4 and all those length advantages will go to shit when he’s on a perimeter and he’ll got ripped when that’s probably not the case when he’s on a 5 spot. @@Ohmeezzy people just accept the 8 hour day or the 5 day work week or child labor laws as unchangeable but it wasn't always like that workers in unions fought and won those things that we take for granted now and that's the same way we have to fight for whatever we want now, we literally don't have to accept that "oh well that's just the way it is", you don't have enough time and energy to meet people make friends raise your family etc. There's tons of statistics out there to show how bad our work culture is.
When it comes to the 9 to 5 girl, I get it to an extent. I’m in the same boat as you guys, that’s just life. There is probably a good chance she never has been thrust into a full 9 to 5 before. I mean, it’s been like half easier, half harder in my own life. My family has been lower middle class tilting in poverty at times. My dad has been a trucker for over 40 years got up every morning at like 5:00 a.m. came back at like maybe 7:00 p.m. course he would vent at times to, to me, to my mom, etc. We all got by, also I get that it can be hard to find a job in your desired field, me personally I still don’t have a job in my desired field, but I do have a 9 to 5. People do enjoy the and take comfort in the consistency, it starts at 9 and we leave at 5, 5 days a week, off on the weekends. Get paid every 2 weeks on Friday, same amount every week. It easy to plan around that, for like dates, family gatherings, bills, etc. we get off on the holidays, get a 401k, dental, and health insurance. Is it the job I want? No. Am I grateful to have it? Yes. It’s just a stepping stone at this point to get to the dream job, sometimes you gotta hunker down.

It’s so stupid to say that jobs are just structured how they are. Each company is deciding how they are structured and how much money they make. Hating work is not normal it is what you expect because that is the standard set. You can change those things very simply. Arguing for a non beneficial system is just defeatist. No dollars are guaranteed. I make my own hours and make more than I ever did doing anything.
I hear you comrade but we do live in America and most won’t get that far. Ideally I’d love for people to love what they do, make a livable wage, and make their own hours. But you gotta go through that struggle to get where we are
