Robin Gibb was my favorite Bee Gee. So sad to have lost him. I had a dream about him, that I was there when he died and when I woke up my heart ached, that's how real it felt.
Robin and Dwinna both agreed on what they wanted in their marriage. So that's all that mattered. Agree with it or not. It's nobody else's business. I loved Robin just as he was , he was my favorite Bee Gee. His private life was his business. It didnt make him a bad person or any less talented. It certainly isn't our business..
No one ever knows what goes on inside of a marriage, whether a famous one or one like most of us have. But from what I have read and seen of Dwina, she is very spiritual and feels deep roots to her Irish heritage. She and Robin loved each other I am sure, he once said that when he married he was not looking for a traditional wife, so I think he did find Dwina talented, maybe his influence from his fame, helped her out, most likely it did, but read her poem that she wrote for Robin after his death, it is called My Songbird Has Flown, it is beautiful and moving and definately written by a woman in love.

Dwina being bisexual was an attraction for Robin, He loved watching her and her girlfriends. Makes my skin crawl.

The narrator of this video started that her poetry was self published and if she has written novels as weak and dull as her poems, they will have been self published too. She has no talent or skills with words. Her drawings don't have any real merit and they probably sell only because she was Robin Gibbs wife.
I don’t think their relationship was a healthy one. She appeared to be a lesbian and Robin became a father to a little girl named Snow from his housekeeper. Dwina did not divorce Robin because of the many millions he had.

Both Robin and Dwina have always been up-front about their open marriage and certainly never ashamed of their lifestyle! I personally feel they were a great match for each other ..and am especially thankful that he had Dwina right there by his side during those last hard years of his life.. after he lost his twin Mo, and then became so very physically ill. I am sure she was an Immeasurable comfort to Robin!

Look up the Howard Stern interview. Robin made it public that Dwina was a lesbian and her lover lived with them and traveled with them. He had freedom to be with other women, preferably her friends. He said it was great. Robin changed so much after he married her. His performances had very little smiles. I believe he was just not feeling loved in a couples sort of way. Their lifestyle was probably a dream when they got married but I’m sure feeling like Dwina’s second choice made him sad over time. His smile disappeared. He was miserable about something. I think he really loved Molly and never found that type of love again. The druids and Sisters of Brahma just made it worse.
Anita Foster...I think Robin was happy at first, but he did have an 8 year long affair with the housekeeper. And after Mo died I don't think Robin was ever truly happy again.

Robin was said to have found a bunch of drawings and poems in the car and asked the driver where they came from. The driver told him about his cousin and Robin said he'd like to meet her. The question is why were her poems/drawings in the car? Isn't it Robin's car that the chauffeur drives around ? Wonder if that was a set up.

I don't think it's anyone's business what was between Dwina and Robin. They had a marriage that lasted and they appeared happy to me. I like the clan music too. Part of my relatives were English and some Scottish. Ignore judgmental comments. None of us are exactly pure as the driven snow.
I don't really know alot about Dwina, but she was very sweet & sent me a lovely thank you card after receiving my symphony card after Robin passed away. Something I wasn't expecting at all, considering she probably got thousands of cards & couldn't possibly respond to every one. I was surprised with her weight gain over the years though, considering how she always talked about healthy eating, etc. She was married to my favorite Gibb, so if Robin loved her, then I loved her. She made him happy!
I was also a bit surprised about her weight gain as you were. I do agree that if she made him happy, that is what truly matters. As another commented, she was there for him at his best and worst moments.

I love the dancing and music. They have a beautiful home. Robin's wife is very pretty. Beautiful garden! She is lucky to be Robin's wife. He is handsome and sexy. I love his voice. How cruel to make comments about Dwina's weight or looks. She was Robins beloved wife and they were happy together for 30 years! Her garden and being organic gardener is part of their life. Even the famous and rich cannot avoid sickness and death. The world is the loser and people should keep unkind remarks to themselves.

OK.. This is may take on their marriage (only R&D truly know). They were together such a long time so there must have been happiness there for Robin at times.. 😊 I did read too that he never wanted a divorce and not be with his children again.. But once RJ was older.. Robin could have left the marriage if he really wanted to. He saw what his brothers had... He could have found that type of marriage no problem.. If he wanted it. I do believe it was an open marriage hence the relationship with housekeeper. And it was easy for them to sleep together.. She was right there 🤷♀️. He probably enjoyed the vast difference with her.. Maybe a bit of normality perhaps? I do believe that there was love between R&D.. They had security with each other if nothing else. So they would never be alone and if the marriage was open then he probably felt he was living a dream life. Had his cake and ate it too. In photos of all 4 brothers with their partners.. Robin is the only one who doesn't come across as all lovely dovey.. There's not much closeness physically. So because Mo said that's how Robin was then maybe the marriage to D was perfect for him. Maybe she never pressured him into being more openly romantic. D did look like she adored Robin in pics so I'm sure he knew he was loved so he was happy to have a partner for life who loved him. He did love her as he said himself... he was attracted to her because of the type of person she was. The lack of saying and showing his love in a traditional way.. So to speak was maybe what suited him... So being able to pull away somewhat and sleep with others and her sleep with others too.. Was maybe perfect for them both. 🤷♀️ It is possible for someone to be able to write the most romantic music and songs.. As he did.. Then you look at the other brothers and their wives and the pictures are so different. Two people in love.. Stand out. I love Robin so much but he was awkward right? Even his dancing was awkward 😂😂 but it makes you love him even more 😍 lol So with Mo mentioning that Robin wasnt the one to say.. ' group hug' or ' love you'... Esther B , Thank you for your thoughts. I agree with them. I believe he and Dina were happy. They did stay together. People only think what they want. I would hope, if he was so unhappy, he would have found a new partner in life. You covered everything so well. I am sure with her talent, she may not have been as successful, but she said Robin encouraged her. I think it was a mistake not to have been more careful with the housekeeper. I expect he was sorry for the pain that the child caused. Maybe the housekeeper should have taken care and practiced her own birth control. Although he did give Snow his name and financially provided for her, I don’t think she was planned. I am sure he loved her very much once she was born. I saw a picture of her and her hair was the brown of Robin’s natural hair color and her cute little face looked like him too. At least she will see her father and see what a wonderful composer and singer he was. I expect the Gibb family will reach out to her and get to know her. I hope so. ❤️🌹❤️
