Hi! Thanks for nice video. I used to catch same test card from Hemnes and Bergen in Russian Kaliningrad (on Baltic sea). It was back in 1989, 1988, 1990. Nice memories, so much exiting... It was interesting to catch some TV DX, not like today - every channel shows same shows, but in local language.
Noorwegen drukte in zeer uitzonderlijke gevallen wel eens Markelo (kanaal 7) weg. We hadden toen Centrale Antenne (SCAI) in onze wijk in Twello, dat was eind jaren 70 en jaren 80.
Interesting! Nice that they in Norway also put in the sender name in the test picture! Othervise they used same type of "test picture" as Sweden did. You also did catch some commersial channels maybe tv2? Who did have commercial for the movie pay channel filmnet! Also these bars "Ingen sändning fra NRK pga strejk" which means: "No transmission from NRK because strike". Im from Sweden and remember back in the days when I received finnish Radio in Stockholm via shortwave, often these russian sovjiet jammers jammed the signal. Much of russian channels and german channels worked really well, strong signal :-) When visiting my grandparents in Finland I built an antenna from iron wire around the house and received Swedish P3 over FM :-) Oh these days, now shortwave almost gone and FM next and analogue tv almost dead :..( Im maybe too old. But digital made it too easy to scramble programs and harder to DX. Its also scary todays IP tv and radio, even if its good you can watch and listen over the world, but its too vulnerable system and the most bad thing is that government can control what you can watch and listen......they do this in Sweden for example, normally you can only watch Swedish tv via IP. In Finland you can pay for Swedish, Estonian and other countries. Same thing in Norway and Denmark, there you can even watch SVT via sattelite completely legal! But in Sweden you need have Norwegian or Danish subscribtion or some pirate solution, its so unfair! Back in the days Sovjiet did jam western signals, but they did not manage jam to everyone.....
It was a good way to know from which transmitter you got your signal. As a kid, we always got the best signals from the Bokn transmitter (which is also shown here), which is located on an island north of Stavanger, and covers much of south-western Norway.
A bit strange as most of mentioned countries are EU members...here in Slovakia it is also a bit strange and there was special agreement between Slovakia and Czechia to be available watch Czech Channels in Slovakia and Slovak Channels in Czechia,especialy public tv :CT 1,CT2, ČT3,CT 24,CT :D/Set & RTVS1, RTVS 2,RTVS3 and RTVS24...in terrestrial DVB-T2...only šport Channels CT Šport and RTVS Šport are nôt legal in other country because of rights to šport events
Interesting that you received from transmitters basically all over Norway, from north to south, east to west. What kind of antennas did you use for reception?
