Lol I love the jobby reference . It’s nice to see the community bonding between each other . We need more of that . I remember when ppl were saying thew was ripping off jobbys formats which is didn’t see it .
Balt Im so glad to see your achievments this year. Getting more sponsors, becoming a reviewer for the chosen prime and earning subscribers. All I want to say is keep on the good work. Oh and I dont know if you remember. On your KO classics optimus prime review I wrote an incredibly long and stupid comment on you copying Jobby. I still want to make a big apology for that.
It's cool. Some words of advice. If you feel the need to rant about something (and we all do), stop and walk away for a few minutes. Go do something else and then then come back. If you still feel that rant inside then put it done on paper (er, an empty document) and read it back a few times to make sure you are not coming off as a doof. That's what I do when something boils my blood on the internets.
Balt, you might want to invest in an overhead rig for your camera. It may not give you a full 360 walk around, but it can give you a larger film area to get these bigger figures all at once.
Oh well, you make do with what you have then. I enjoy each of your videos very much, helps me keep the kid in side happy. Keep up the good work and have good holidays.
Q3 2018 Hasbro: "Hey there everyone today we announce Hasbro/Takara big project Omega Supreme. Ever since our last fan vote with Trypticon being the winner we couldn't not make this G1 fan favorite. Omega Supreme's Prime Master Ally increases his attacks to rival Metroplex and Fortress Maximus. We dub this prime Super. Targeting. Energon. Vollying. Emmiter or Steve for short ;). He'll be released early December for the Holiday Season, Thank You for enjoying Power of The Primes."
It looks pretty cool, but I went in for the Fans Toys version---whom I love. His transformation isn't too bad, and his robot mode is everything I was hoping it would be, and he holds together amazingly well (Ben from Benscollectables managed to get Terminus in some amazing poses). The DX9 version does look pretty good as well, and if price is a concern looks to be a fine option. Thank-you for the review. It was very helpful.
Have to say this guy looks great, and I've always been a fan of giant transformers toys/collectibles. My only qualm with it is that, even for its size, I don't think it's worth $300. There's nothing overly special or premium about the sculpting or detail thereof. No electronic lights or sounds, save for a tiny LED in the tip of the rocket and the palm of the claw. No gimmicks. No interactivity for smaller figures, save for a ramp on the rocket (granted, it probably isn't meant for that, but still worth mentioning). Really, from what I gather, the only reason for the high price is its material composition. It's made entirely with die-cast and ABS, which explains its extremely durable and functional joints, as well as its weight. There might not be much to it outside of being a goliath among Transformers toys/collectibles, but what little there is is extremely well built.
"They don't pass the wife test" XD XD XD XD who remembers the bull from shinkenger when he said something along the lines of "I doubt my wife would want this as a kitchen center piece" and she said no? XD
Hey Spada, I've been watching you for a few years and this one probably has to be my favorite videos. The reason I loved this bid so much is for 2 reasons: Omega Supreme was my favorite character in g1, And when I was growing up and still do had a brother named Gabriel!
It's funny that the left yellow shoulder pad has the screw holes facing forward, unlike the pictures on thechosenprime. Obviously, your sample has 2 right shoulder pads.
The head can look up and down. You needed to pull the head up, in order to expose his neck, then once exposed he has the ability to look up and down, it was one of the big point of differences between Gabriel and Terminus.
Only big boy I got recently is the 1/48 Gundam Unicorn... but apparently there is a 1/20 scale coming. Which means it might be 1.5 meters tall. Pretty sure that will not pass the wife test.
Yeah, I'm not sure this will pass the "wife test." Of course, I know my wife looks at my valuable collection, and she's sinisterly rubbing her hands and saying to herself "money!"
I'd say of the two, get Gabriel. the Fans Toys version is a fiddly mess from what I can tell and he has a crap ton of parts that come off of him. so if you lose one, you're screwed, this one however, looks even better and has a more smooth transformation in my opinion so I would get this one if I had to choose
i find it odd that BOTH of the big 3p omega's cheat on the shoulders the same way without having them part of the tank. It just feels like faux kibble.
Wife test? Definite not wife approved. My wife got me Titans Return Fortress Maximus and she didn't care for how big it was. It's in my office where she can't see it.
