We appreciate your educating us on this product of yours it is lovely Dyan, so are you. You make everyone smile with your personality to match the colors of your paint! Thank you.
You are the best teacher! You explain things that really help. It took me a while to learn just how little paint I need to use....I should have watched this first! I did learn from another video you did. I just love your videos, I guess it's time to binge watch them....
It's 2018 and the paint is still seizing up. My white and yellow are super thick . The colors I invested in were released mid 2018 and ordered from Ranger.
Loved your video. I have recently purchased an assortment of the paints and I am eager to try them. But like most folks, how to choose the colors. What goes with what??? Your video explained it so simply that even I could understand it. Everything you mentioned was great, from the paints, how much to use, and even how to clean the stencils. I also loved how you explained blender tools and how to preserve them. I am off now to watch your other videos. Thanks for making this video! LS
I have eight colours of these paints. They are fabulous to use, so smooth, unlike other acrylic paints, and I realise I have been using too much at a time when I'm stencilling. I shall invest in some blending tools, although they appear quite expensive. A very informative video thank you xx
Wow Dyan, I just bought my Purple Dylusions this past month (12/2017)at Michaels in Las Vegas Or Hobby Lobby in Las Vegas, (can't remember where.. and I still have that problem with your paint. Too bad you did not recall those bad paints- we are still getting them out here and that sucks!
Thanks. I just acquired all of the paints and a bunch of the tools w/extra foam heads. I wondered about the cleaning or not cleaning of the sponge heads. Thanks. This is a great TIP vid for the Dylusions paints. I love them!!
I love all your videos and really appreciate all the information. Color matters...I color and do art journaling. This is very informative. Thank you BTW-you are a doll and it was lovely meeting you this past June in Lakeland FL.
i've been misting my daubers with water and adding color to other projects or 'drying' off on paper towels, which i can then 'reconstitute' with a water spritz and add textured color to other pages. eventually i use the dried paper towels (kitchen roll) as backgrounds as well and it's fun to layer these on packaging for repurposing as mini canvases, or cut them up with different edged scissors for border accents, embellishments or stamping backgounds.
I miss utubes from you. Just love your products for backgrounds that I use in cardmaking!! I have not found a place to buy these pens but admit I haven't looked at Ramger itself. Thanks for being you.
I am having the same problem with my linen white and my fresh lime, but they are not blamangey like the purple and pink (yes both of mine did that too) - the lime and the white have gone completely hard. I had not even used my white. So not a problem with the lid being off. (I always spritz my paints also just as a caution due to being in Australia). I have all the colours and this is the fourth and fifth pots that have died on me.. very disappointed with them...
Dyan has started quite a few VERY reasonably priced online classes where she teaches via FaceBook lives which are saved to be viewed at any time, once the class has been purchased. They are about 2-3 hours long and all amazing. Search Dyan Reaveley Art on Etsy. There are about 8 of them and counting. :)
I have used your sprays but have not purchased any paints yet. I have all of Tim Holtz distress ink pads and have used some of his stains. I only am card maker (16 yrs now) only starting with Ranger products about 1 3/4 yrs now. Really gotten into making my own background papers. Only been die cutting 1 1/2 yrs. I love your bright colors!! I use distress inks mostly to watercolor with. Love Tims bright cheery colors more than his darker colors. I now need to mix his and yours together. Would love to see video using all Rangers designers colors together. My roommate and BFF is British (now USA citizen). She is in Mundesly with her mum in hospital in Norwich. I really miss her but have been occupying my time playing in my craft room. Love watching u so I can think bout her. And miss her mums "bye" at end our phone calls. So hearing yours is wonderful!' Thanks. I may just break down and buy a few of your paints to play with during this difficult time.
Oh my gosh you are so funny! Love your art and your acting as well just your all around talent and those paints 💓💓💓💓💓💓👏AWESOMENESS IN A JAR,not that I own or could ever own any I just don't have the coins for it although this does not stop me from watching your videos and tutorials because you inspire me ,make me laugh and remind me that life can be good not just bad, warm wishes hugs and kisses for the 👸 of Art Journaling 🎨🎬👗👠.
U can do what I do which is 2 watch like a hawk 4 sales. We've got a Hobby Lobby pretty close, they do 40% off coupons, sometimes the paints are $2.99! Crazy prices. The stencils are very reasonable on Amazon or at Hobby Lobby... even Michael's. Don't even know if you've got access 2 those stores. Amazon can be pricey, but I truly watch & wait 4 the items I want 2 go down 2 an affordable price. Dyan Reaveley keeps me semi sane . Her style is exactly what I've always wanted but didnt know it until I found her. Never liked all that cutesy sugary stuff out there. And my fave is mixing the stamps together. Using different stamps 2 make a mermaid tale 4 a lady instead of giving her legs. So much fun!!!!! Good luck 2 u!!
Dyan is a colorist. Warm colors, cool colors and neutrals. Tints are when you add white to a color (pink is a tint of red) and shades are when you add black.
Hi Dyan I have some Dylusion paints they have dried out. Some are only 1/4 used and they also gone hard. I tried adding water but it didn't dissolve just stayed like paste with dried bits in much like I mixed it with sand . I have had them for a few years and feel I should be able to get some more use out of them as they were a tad expensive I just can't throw them away hehe!!!
I love your paint :-) have them all and will definitely buy the new ones when they comes to Norway! I just received your creative journal too and have so much fun :-)
Aparentently the problem has not been resolved. It is 2018 and my purple is doing what you are explaining in the video. I've only had it less than 6 months.
Update please are you still using Dylusions paints? Did u buy the purple or you have decided not to use them? Update appreciated thankyou. May God Bless You.
As of yesterday ... I now have each color that is offered in my area. They're difficult to find as Michael's and Hobby Lobby don't carry much of the Tim Holtz/Ranger line. Loathe having to order things, as shipping becomes quite costly..
