I love your background technique. It so easy! It’s really got me inspired to try creative journaling too. I’m fascinated by your kitchen roll technique! Amazing 😊😊

You are amazing Dyan. Love all these new techniques . I know this is an old video but still very much appreciated. As Vicki Boutin is always reminding us, just do it in your Junque Journal, PLAY! You have inspired me. Thanks for sharing.
I always check like, especially when my laughter overcomes my learning mode. Thank you for the instruction and especially the laughter in creativity and reality.
I really loved this, my granddaughter age 9 and have started to art journal together. We actually we all types of crafts together, this is just our latest addition 😀 thank you for the inspiration ❤
Your calm reminds me of Bob Ross... it calms me LOL... thanks again for teaching us! I love how you are not so full of yourself and keep it light! Thanks!
Oh mylanta!!! My oldest child is 51 and the baby (#9) is 30. Can you imagine how many baby wipes were wasted??? I was 48 years old before I got to go to art school. It's been 20years since I graduated with my BAFA. I've learned more binge watching all your RU-vid videos. TYFT.
I so agree, you make it look so easy! And with a cup of tea at your side. That's how I roll, too! Coffee (morning) or tea (afternoon.) Love my Dylusions paint line! And your Dylusions art journaling book, too!!
I love how you use the ink residue from your stencils on pages instead of washing it away and wasting it. Great idea one must remember to do before clean up.
I LOVE IT ! ! .. You do it is very beautyfull ! ! Original ! Fantastic ! Very. . I'm ''inspired'' of yours pages ! ! 😊😀.. I look all yours vidéos ! ! Yesssssssssss ! !

It is like such treat watching you work you magic and so kind and generous of you to share your skills with us all. Warmest best wishes from across the miles here in France. Susanne
Not sure if you see the comments on older video's.!! I just found you a couple days ago luv you and your creative self.. You are so talented, thanks for showing us how you come up with ideas. I can't wait to find all your work so I can learn. Cheers craft on!!!!!
Is it true, that, there is 68 pages in that "journalling" book??? Then, there will be more than 120 pages to use!!! Wow!!!And this for only 24 euros!!!! I love it!!!!Thanks for making these ... I just purchased one, and some paints!!! You are a "Goddess"!!!!!
I found a container of dried up baby wipes and decided to save them even though, I had no idea what to do with them. Thanks for the idea to use them for painting.
It's amazing to watch Dyan work. I was completely enthralled. I was wondering, maybe the next time Dyan makes a video could you maybe give her a wee clip on microphone please? She speaks very softly at parts and at times it hard to hear exactly what she is saying. Thanks so much. Loved this video. Lee x
Crafty if you wear headphones everything is perfect.. They can be bought for any price you wish to pay. But I agree that her crew could use a few lessons.. Dyan your work is great. I like the paint and stencils
Rare Cat The paints are the new Ranger Dylusions paints, available in 12 different colours and look absolutely stunning in real life. Those are 12 colours that are already made in spray inkts. The stencils are also ranger stencils.
Agreed! I’m hearing impaired in both ears & I can barely hear her. I still don’t know if she’s using baby wipes with alcohol for blending or just baby wipes with water.
Super video Dyan. I could hear you perfectly! Love your process and never tire of watching you work. I have one question. I never see you prime a page? This is normal?
Kind of in the "mood" for sparing my "money", and getting the most of what's in the marketplace!!! I like the Reaveley book, but I purchased 200 grams drawing papers on 1.5 x 1 meter, and is dividing them into three pieces, that makes me 120 pages for only .20 euro/cent a piece!!! It will be 33 cm x 45 cm big each page!!! And, the "ardouos" matter, is the "bookbinding", but I like doing it, too, so, thumb's up for me! And, I'm gonna receive my Dyan Reaveley book very soon! So, there will be a "LOT" of playing!!!! hehehehe ;)
Apropos, I love videos like this from Dyan Reaveley!!! It's where I got my "inspirations", lately! By which, I bought a meter and a half a meter of drawing/watercolor paper!!! I love the way these "dykusions" paints are being used to those "special - pages"!!! I'm at awe!!! It's seldom done, and with Dyan, herself! I just "purchased" - 6 of these "dylusions" paints, and is so eager to use them on that "journalling" book!!! It is such a "pleasure" to have this video!!! Good luck to you, Dyan Reaveley, and God bless!!! Greetings from BELGIUM!!!! ;)
Hi. How do you keep the pages from balking in your dylusion journal ? LOVE your art and your looks. It's SO cool that you dress and look the way you want
I've seen Dyan Reaveley clean stencils, blending tools and baby wipes onto other random blank pages of her journal many, many times. I would sell an internal organ to see her go back to one of these pages and finish one of them. Please, please, please, PLEASE! Ranger, could you ask the lovey Dyan to make a tutorial video about how she does that? I have done the same thing in my Dylusions Creative Journals but I don't know what to do with these pages now. Thank you kindly for everything. Much love and gratitude, Your devoted fan and patron, ~ Angela Stone, NJ
I bought a few of these paints, 7 altogether. When I got them home and opened the purple one it was completely dried out with the seal stuck in the dried paint.
Super video, I pulled out my own babywipes 5 minutes into the video and did a few pages along with you. Cant help but wonder what are the journals you are using?
Hi Dyan, new subscriber here, about ten minutes in LoL. I had so much fun just watching you work, and am looking forward to watching your older and newest videos. P.S. Is that rainbow cake I see in the very right lower corner? :-)
No! Don't throw them away! They can be incorporated into mixed media work! LOL!! I swear, if I saved every little dern thing I used in hopes of using them again...I'd be buried in it.
Babywipes in USA: are the dry og wet/damped? In Denmark they are a little wet, so I'm not sure if they are ok to put into my Dylusions? Other than that: LOOOVE your products, the vibrant colors and your inspirational videoes! Thanks for your time
What kind of sketchbook do you use? I always buy sketchbooks but when I try to use water colors or other kinds of media the paper is too thin. And I can find other kinds of paper but not in a book.
I've never used the blending tools... but I'm wondering, does the paint harden in the pad? I'm afraid to ruin them right out of the package. I was planning to only use the spray ink colors with them but now I'm wondering if I want them for paint too. But crusty dry paint on the pad sounds tedious to clean up or expensive to constantly replace.
Never mind. I just watched the other video and saw that you are are using all that extra paint to build up other backgrounds just to avoid this very concern. This series is super. Thank you!
Hi. Are the baby wipes still damp when you use them or do you dry them out first? And.....when you flip the pages over does the paint transfer over to the opposing page or does it dry super quick?
At 59, I'm barely about to start learning how to craft. Is the main purpose of art journals the decoration of the pages, to be torn out later and used for other projects? Or do the decorated pages stay in the journal as finished art?
Either way, you choose! I believe most of those who have RU-vid channels keep them intact as finished art, or for personal inspiration for future pieces. Enjoy your art exploration.
hi! do you use the baby wipes dry or wet? which type of paint is it? some kind of creamy water colour? acrylic? (sorry but I don't think I heard it in your commentary) . Thanks for your answers.
She's using wet baby wipes. She's using acrylic paints--her own brand and formula. It's called Dylusions by Dyan Reavely. It's a product sold through Ranger Ink in the U.S. Dyan also has a line of rubber stamps.
I agree with the previous comment. It is very difficult to understand Dyan throughout the video. Fortunately you can get the general gist of what she's doing :)
I know this is an old video, but I'm hoping someone can help me as we approach Christmas! My question is - Will the Dylusion's Paint end up making the foam from the ink blending tool dry all hard and crusty? I'm trying to find what brands/types of mixed media paints, perhaps sprays, and any other mediums, that I can use exclusively with the foam ink blending tools. I'm finding that ink pads are just too expensive, and I'd love to have a "paint"/something else to use instead, that won't ruin the foam ink blending tools. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!! 💞💞
You also could put it in a ziplock type snack bag or cover in plastic wrap to keep it moist. One for each color paint you are using. They velcro to the tool so you just change when needed.
+denise harris I found Dyan's paints in ONE Michael's, so far, here in Dallas. It was a larger store. Kind of frustrating since I have a Micheal's just 10 mins away. I went there yesterday, couldn't find them, and realized I was at the wrong store :)
