Dyeing with Japanese Indigo at the South Whidbey School Farms 

Learn how to use a water-based blending method, or a salt method, with Japanese Indigo to dye silk or wool a beautiful indigo color. You can do tie dye, different kinds of resists, and rubbings. These techniques are easily done with children. Here is what we did at the School Farm with fabric artist Cheryl Lawrence.
