Adding teal dye to a flame maple mandolin. This project has been a lot of fun! It’s originally a kit from saga music that I’ve been working with. It’s very pretty so far! #luthier #mandolin
I’m using polyurethane for clear. This one was painted black on the back and sides, top was dyed teal. I then used ebony oil stain to start a burst. That was evened out with natural stain and covered in poly. It’s kinda green now! One of my TikTok followers dubbed it ‘Murda Green’ cuz it’s so killer.
