6 years ago today I lost my dad. Even though my mom is still around and I only ever lost my dad, in a way it's still so comforting to know that you never walk alone in situations like this and there's always someone in this world who knows and understands you in these situations. Losing a parent is never easy, but knowing you have friends who'll love and support you no matter what and help you through your healing journey makes you want to keep fighting in life and make your parent proud, even if they're gone.

My mom hasn’t passed. But this year I had to grieve the loss of my mom from my life. I finally stood up for myself against the abuse and narcissist that she is. I lost multiple family members in the process because even though they knew about the abuse and had seen proof, they weren’t strong enough to cut ties with her. It’s been ONE HELL of a year, but this song hits home in that way personally. Thank you for such a gorgeous song.

i love this song so much. my best friend took her own life at 14. it reminds me of her. it was such a shock at first and i was already in a bad place (mentally) and this made me consider everything and i had many suicidal thoughts and i was about to end it all. then people showed their love and support and they set up a go fund me and their target goal was £1,000 and they ended up raising over £100,000 which was amazing. this song always reminds me of her and all the memories we had together. i was struggling for a month because i had known her for 14 years (since we were born) and i couldnt do anything without thinking of her. shes in a better place now. she will always be remembered and loved. may she rest in peace 🤍🕊
