No one seemed to notice this on the broadcast but from the drone shot they captured Dylan Ferrandis quadding up the hill! Looks like he actually over jumped it.
Did Ferrandis clear this flight with the FAA?!? Incredible! After I watched his first practice session at Pala, within two laps I predicted that he would win the championship! (Thank you Dylan for not making me look bad so far lol) It wasn't his lap times that blew me away, it was his comfort level and 'French riding style' that stood out. He just looks so fluid on the 450's, it's a thing of beauty to see. I still want KR to win the championship, because of the hard road he had to take to get here, but its really awesome to watch Ferrandis ride at this level!
I actually did the moment I started really following GP and playing the video games and whatnot I know that kid was going to be a problem and I wish her wings would at least come to America and do the race at Southlake that'd be one hell of a show him in caroli
I was suspecting he would be in the top 5 and even top three all year according to his incredible domination in the 250 class last year. I could not guess he would dominate the 450 championship with any certitude but I am not too surprised. I am more surprised to see Tomac, Webb and Musquin having a relatively bad season so far, despite Tomac last overall win and Webb podium. Too little too late.
Incredible jump. But he didn't gain much on the rider before him. I would have expected him to gain more. Honestly that looks safer than trying to hit that third lip out there.
I agree on that 3rd one, but you have to admit, it threw Tomac off his rhythm if you watch closely, I don't think even he thought that # 14 would do it. That kid is on a whole other level when he's chasing someone.
That crazy but sense jumping has become the thing lately why don’t they start all new type of racing and call it jump cross so we can have outdoor nationals back again
That is the diff between pros in the old days on 250's and pros on 450 4 strokes now. Beyond me thats for sure way way WAY beyond my dreams as a kid at Carlsbad, Saddleback, etc.
Truly F....., N awesome . Only guy to attempt it all day. I assume. Never heard about it in the broadcast! WEEGE must have missed it. Unlike him. Always been the go to man for moto. This jump took crazy confidence to even try, yet alone land so clean. Probable shaved off a couple seconds that lap? DANGER ZONE!!!!!
@@Pappa_Wheelie Also, what is the meaning of calling somebody a goat ? (especially RC who said himself he doesn t like this nickname). I m French, i looked up but didn t found anything reliable. Thanks in advance for the answer
Problem is, that for all the time it took to set up for that quad, he did not gain anytime on Tomac through that section. If you pause at 0:18, and see the gap between fernandis and Tomac, and then again the gap at 0:31, it is the same gap, in fact, Tomac gained ground. I guess that is where the whole idea of low flight time, bubba-scrub stuff comes in. still cool though. But obviously Fernandis had it pre-planned well in advanced, because, if you watch other videos, they say, Fernandis had someone on his team right at that jump to film it. Good PR.
